Hello Everyone, My parents are moving to Alberta next week. I have heard that Alberta Health Care Insurance coverage is provided day 1 of landing. It takes 3 months to get a card. My question is how to get refund if one needs to go to the medical clinic till we get the card. ? I wonder if someone having knowledge in this area answer this question. Thanks.

It is unfortunate to see my mom's application not moving, not hearing anything knowing we meet the requirements. What can I do? I need to bring my parent with me.

Application Received: June 20, 2019
Sponsorship Approval Letter: Feb 27, 2020
I haven't heard anything since Feb 27, 2020.
Requested GCMS notes Sept 2021. And not even anything yet after they have charged the fees.

Our files were sent to Mexico, then I wrote an email and I received this:
Please be advised that case XXXXX is in progress, according to the information we have in the system the review process is taking place in our (CPC Mississauga) office. They shoud be in contact with you in the following days with more updates.

That was in April, and since then I still don't hear anything.

I need help, this is demoralizing and depressing.
Our application date is June 14 2019
AOR 23rd October 2019.
IN PROCESS DATE is 28 February 2020.
No word after that
Don't know why there is no progress

did you have simila situation... how long did it take to get virtual landing communication
my parents' PGP application is in final stages. but they are travelling on visitor visa. so in future i might have this situation. however, my friend had situation like you , and the mother got the virtual landing done without having to leave the country. I really doubt that they will make her go back for this.

this is sad .. hope you get something soon. how about contacting your local MP to follow up with your file? sounds far fetched but they do contact IRCC and actually pretty quickly

Thanks for the reply.
I read your posts and notices you already got portal instructions.
Have you got COPR for parents?
How long NDVO might take to send PPR after DM2?
Also, for portal, do we have to send email address for both parents? If they don’t use email, can we provide our email for one and for other one of our spouse or create a new one for them?
Can we confirm the details on the portal for them as I was reading and it says no imm consultant can do it for you but how about us, as rep of our parents.
Thanks in advance!
For me, the PPR came next day of DM2. PPR came to email-id given for PA in the application form.
First step will be webform informing who all are present in Canada.
Then you will receive portal email, where you will be asked to confirm if you want to use this email-id (the one you has used in the PA forms) and if you wish to act on behalf of spouse and dependents. If you choose this option then only 1 email-id is needed.
Then you will receive portal login details with password. The applicants have to act themselves. Consultant or rep cannot act on their behalf.

I am the sponsor and I provided my emaip address for PA in the form.
Can I use that again? And help parents do it.
My parents are not tech savy, so they won’t be able to do this own their on.
Or is their any other way?

Has anyone who has got a PCC from BLS in Ottawa / Canada comment on the timeline? My dad is here on a visitor visa and plans for stay for another 2 and a half months. NDVO has asked for PCC and given a little more than a month deadline. The application for PCC asks to send original passport and that worries me in case it takes longer than his scheduled flight back. Any recent experience with the time taken for PCC from Canada would be highly appreciated.
Our postal application reached BLS on 14th October and it was ready for pickup on 10th November. It helps if someone follows up local police station once PCC is sent to India for verification.

Question: I just got the passport request for COPR for my parents. But it says to submit passports to Abu Dhabi VFS office as my parents original address was in UAE at the time of PGP application in 2019. They have since moved permanently to India. How do I change their address? And can they just submit their passports to their closest VFS location in India even though the letter mentions to submit in nearby locations in Middle East like UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, etc.?

Thanks!

Hello everyone

I got DM2 for parents on ecas on 13th Nov, LVO - NDVO.
I haven’t got PPR email yet, i used my email address in the forms as rep and also the same email was mentioned in PA’s details.
Would i be getting PPR to that email or they won’t send it to that considering its not PA’s email? Then how will we be getting it.
Next question is for portal instructions, can i use my email or should i create one for PA and Can I help parents do everything on portal as they are not familiar with all these technical things.
Please advise based on your experience

Acordind to me Original enrty is the first time parents came to Canada. And last entry is the very recent entry.
If they just came once, then first and last would be same date.

Are you the sponsor or parent?
I am expecting this virtual landing too but my parents are not very tech savy so I don’t know if I can help them do this.

Hi,

I am the sponsor. Just replying on her behalf. I always filled and sent forms on her behalf. The 1st time she entered Canada was maybe 16 years ago. I hope I can find the date.
