Joke of the day, my mom works at a Taco Bell in the US (even though she is a citizen now…). The owner of the branch came asking if it’s possible for fast food to hire foreign workers because he hasn’t found anyone in over 6 months, even with several incentives, and he himself has to work the stores to keep it open. Lol. He came asking me how easy it is to sponsor work visas. I said “work visas is impossible, maybe eb3 if it really is that hard to find employees, but good luck.”

Some are blaming free government money given during the pandemic for people not wanting to work now.

Well the stimulus ended september, though people still have savings, so will probably wait a bit. I imagine though that those who don't have to work, and were only doing it to have something to do(several highschool students in fast food and retail) probably don't care for it now.

Don't want to get too political but that's just a conservative strawman argument lol.

The pandemic benefits are barely enough and they certainly aren't enough for people to stay out of the retail/service industry at this stage even after those benefits have dried up. Moreover, unemployment aid isn't a new thing. 1200$ in stimulus means nothing more than half a month's expenses.

There have been studies conducted on this and I really think that 2020 has made people introspect a lot. A lot of them have used the time to grow skills and seek different careers. At some point, it should get really old when you're an "essential worker" during COVID but you're supposed to risk your life to flip burgers at McDonalds earning 10 bucks an hour as you deal with anti-mask Karens screaming at you. This labor shortage isn't even just the service industry- it has become widespread in the US. People have taken the time off to consider wtf they are doing with their life

True, and labor participation is only 1-2% lower with unemployment basically at the level it normally is. Almost 2 years of pandemic, with several schools going to distance learning. Quite possible to do some sort of associate’s to move on with your life.

As per myimmitracker on 11/11/2021, only two cec's received PPR with AOR'S July 31 2021 and September 12 2021
Thats not even remotely accurate. I can count more than 10 from this forum itself. I think PPRs of CEC might be slowing a bit but then CEC has been ded since mid September.

If you go and check CEC forum, its now a third into November but there is no November AoR. October AoR thread is minuscule. Basically, most CECs had AoRs till Aug end. After than... very few AoRs relatively.

Immitracker is, and always has been inaccurate and garbage. Please free yourself from using it for any sort of analysis, statistical or otherwise.
It has its use. Not as a way to establish patterns but to find examples and counter examples of any ideas about how processing is happening.

Do you'll think the new mandate will be published this year?
It should be... but who knows. Nothing is normal anymore.

No CEC draw today? Nobody talked about it.

Bro, you will not see any more draws other than PNP for 2021. The quota for issuing ITAs to CEC/FSW/FSTW is exceeded a long time ago already. Canada was at least transparent on this issue. We don't have any reason (also excitement, motive, whatever synonyms you can find for it) left for following these bi-weekly draws anymore until 2022.

I am absolutely against all those YouTube guys who keep promoting good news good sign stuff about Express Entry since last year, but there was just one of them (who does not even show his face) who kept telling everyone that the ITA quota is already being fulfilled through CEC candidates since July-August and used to warn everyone not to have any hope for 2021 (Although his videos were receiving loads of negative comments and dislike from all those outlanders who wanted to hear what they liked rather than the truth). This is such a bitter truth tho.

No draws except PNP until Jan 2022. And it'll be all program draws only in 2022. Low-score free-ITA ' but we pay taxes :"( ' CEC draws are dead and gone and they will never come back.

"But kangaroo I have a CRS score of 250 and pay taxes as a CEC candidate! What do I do?!"

You stick all those taxes up your bu... Bugatti. Yes. Bugatti.
