It really is time for FSWs to give up now. All program draws will not be coming back anytime soon. Get lucky enough to fall in the score ranges for PNP, good for you. Your application will also probably be processed then. Pre ITA people need to either get a study permit or look elsewhere. FSW is dead.

someone in the conference mentioned they may be focusing outland on 2022, contrary to in land focus on 2021. let's give up on feb 2022. we are reaching the end of the tunnel, maybe there is a door at the end which is preventing light from getting in

That isn't what they said. They said they wont be as focused on inland in 2022. There's a difference. fyi they're already shifting focus (very very slowly) to outland: PNP. They were likely referring to PNP when they said that. Simple fact of the matter is, they don't need FSWs to meet their numbers, and numbers are all they care about.

Well, either way, nothing will change this year. They will continue with how they are, clearing inland that is faster and some pnp/expired. If you are pre-ita, its best to do what you can to get a pnp if you can, though even that is bound to not start processing r10 until next year. Nov 22nd we'll have the mandate letter and their priorities, anything before that will be speculation. Specially if it comes from shitty politicians.

Lol the only "covid situation" is in Canada; a pseudo first world country whose healthcare system is so shitty with not enough beds despite the low population so the hospitals ran out of capacity even with just 500-700 hospitalized cases! Pathetic... I live in a literal third world country and we saw THOUSANDS of hospitalized patients and NOT ONCE have we run out of bed capacity in hospitals. Covid ended here months ago, we go out, see our friends, do whatever the fuck we want. And guess what, vaccination rate isn't even 50% here! Compare that to Canada with 90%. That country is a joke lol

it's the politics and the people behind it using it as an excuse that's ruining the country. common citizens trying to make ends meet ain't behind this.

I don't really understand why some of we pre-ITA FSW applicants still care about the draws happening every 2 weeks. Guys, the ITA quota for 2021 is over, do not put unnecessary stress on yourself...You will see a couple more PNP draws and 2021 is done.

By the time the very first draw of 2022 happens, and in case it is again the CEC specific draw, we all have to move on to other options in my opinion. I have actually already given up on Canada, since even I get an ITA tomorrow, the earliest I might (this is a big big might) land in Canada would be 1.5-2 years from now. The problem is when you reach Canada, you just yet move on step Zero (not even step One if you ask me). This journey is no more worth it really.

But after all, I have spent nearly 1500 USD gathering all my documents, so I have to just choose between bad and worse now. The "bad" for me is to accept an ITA from Canada, and hope to arrive there within a couple of years to just start from scratch.

And guys, please do not picture first-world countries as heaven. There are people living such a life in our countries which Canadians, Americans, ... can not even see it in their dreams. There was a cheap charlie a few years ago travelled here and he was almost having a heart attack seeing certain parts of my hometown. And he was expecting to be treated like a king because of his passport here but unfortunately, nobody gave a shit about him being a so-called "first world citizen" in my country. After all, money plays a way greater role in your life quality than your country of residence/citizenship if you ask me.

And do not put so much effort into analyzing the behavior of Canadian politicians and its effects on immigration, A few tens of thousands of outland applicants from here and there would not be even the last priority of a politician. Canada can and will definitely will survive even without pure outlanders like us. Trust me :)
