I don’t wanna get into this CEC vs FSW debate again but I just want to use this analogy to paint a picture: imagine you’ve stood in a super long queue waiting for your turn. The journey to reach the queue wasnt easy but you took the challenge heads on and made it. You’re almost at the entrance when suddenly you’re told to stop and a large group of people you’ve never seen before casually walk past you and get in. No reason no explanation is given as to why. Now you are stuck in the queue forever watching painfully as these “especial” group of people continue to walk in without having to stand in the queue. You think about the journey and realize it meant nothing. The only way you could get in now is to “be” one to them. You can’t help but despise these people for getting the preferential treatment and hate the authorities for blatant discrimination.
only if cec folks and sympathizers could make sense of and comprehend your statement!

Btw the above analogy is derived from a real life situation I encountered a few days ago. I couldn’t help but draw parallels with immigration while I stood in the queue for 6 long hours while those with “connections” were able to directly go in without having to wait. Lol

That poster making a case for CECs while living in the US has no clue. I’d rather wait indefinitely in a first world country where I can enjoy my freedom rather than being imprisoned in a third world country which makes me hate my life more and more every day.

I do not understand why some people bring up USA immigration process when Canada's is criticised. USA doesn't depend on immigrants to drive the economy. It is already the number one in the world. The only reason they even have some programs is to look-like a pro-immigration. They purposely do not invest in processes and systems improvements, that's why in this time and age, their whole process is purely run on physical papers for applications and they actually use post to send them! They lost the application file belonging to one of my cousins, and despite searching for a year and a half, they still couldn't locate it. Each office says the other office has it till he hired a lawyer to help him and his wife. The lawyer pushed and followed the USIC (or whatever it is called) immigration, but after further 6 months of searching, the lawyer finally advised them to cancel that application and start a new one! Imagine the standard. He was actually shocked when I explained to IRCC's procedures and the online portal as well as ordering GCMS file to see the progress on the application.

USA purposely makes the immigration processes slow and tiredsome. While Canada's economy depends on it, and they actually put huge budgets to improve as well as constantly increase resources.

So, you cannot justify IRCC's shortcomings in the pandemic with USA's obvious disregard to new immigrants.

IRCC failed the potential economic applicants (Pre-ITA candidates) by not communicating with them. They should have announced that they will halt FSW draws till border restriction for this stream is removed. And once the restriction is removed from it, they should have started conducting the general draws or at least provided an update if there has been a change of plans by IRCC (i.e. despite border opening, they want to invite more CEC applicants to meet the 2021 target due to seamless landing).

Although the communication is still a lot to be desired for, at least for FSW with AORs, they explicitly mentioned that they aren't prioriting them (us) because of the travel restrictions both on the website and via emails. Furthermore, they did send us two surveys in 2020 and 2021, although we never heard from them how helpful that was to them, at least it gave peace of mind knowing you are in IRCC plans. But now the restriction is removed, the continuous CEC prioritisation does not make sense anymore and this needs to either change or IRCC needs to inform us to why it is still a priority despite the open border.

We are entitled to receive communications from IRCC because every outland applicant's life and career depends on the outcome of the applications. We are just asking for communications, so we can plan and patiently wait. However, it is not fair to just wait endlessly with zero guidance and communication. We are human. Patient comes when there's a clear and understandable plan is announced by IRCC. Webform and twitter bombardment wouldn't have happened.

Ps: apologies for any grammatical errors. Been awake the whole night and spent many hours reading the last 40 pages of this thread!

Not once has he mentioned anything about FSW applicants whether inland or outland, to expedite delayed applications or suggestions for future improvements for new applications.

The letter is basically for applicants in Canada and Refugees.

Absolutely useless guy. We should all attack his YT videos with dislikes and comments asking to support FSW applicants.
absolutely , prick holthe's video from Sep 15, 2021 didn't get much views initially because me and my pals downvoted it in the first day itself, the 15/22 downvotes came from me and pals. This is one way i tried to get that prick to make an apology video later where he said people were not agreeing to his content. If this can be repeated again on the days of his live q&a , then it impacts his views which in turn makes him understand shit for real. I am on this bruh
22 sep 2021's video's 6 downvotes came from us. nobody else from here seems downvoting. This is the very least we can do, this fucking lobbyist needs to taste what it actually tastes

I am having difficulty locating that link to IRCC document about medical validity and how IRCC is grouping applications based on that @legalfalcon shared a while ago. Can you or someone else please share the link if you have it?
For medical extensions see
The documents were released in my FB group, link in my signature.

On my passport, my surname section is blank
My full name is XYZ Singh
While creating profile, I wrote Singh in the last name (family name) section
In the first name- Xyz
Is it fine ?
Or I need to make changes and Can I make changes after the ITA

Because ‘Singh’ is considered a middle name.. since you didn’t mention a surname, its left blank.. go by how it is written on your passport

The sleeping Canadian Bar association has finally written a letter to Marco Mendicino to take action on processing pandemic backlogs. Guess who wrote this? Mark Holthe, the Chair of immigration section. Is he doing this after his name got damaged last week? I am not sure but just happy that he used his designation as Chair and wrote this letter along with other immigration lobbyists who may have allegedly sabotaged our dreams previously.

Letter to Marco:

That doesn't seem to be right. The letter is dated 23 July. Mark doesn't learn, he just speaks differently to different audiences.

Can I make changes after the Ita?

But it is mandatory to have surname or last name, what should I do here ?

Mark seems to have changed his tune recently, especially since the "Canada owes you nothing" backlash. He seems to empathize with outlanders now, maybe it is genuine, maybe not.

I don't understand the IRCC white knights. Even a lot of Canadian immigration lawyers agree what they are doing is inexcusable and incredibly unfair to us. Read the room.
