No. I am just checking if I am eligible. Do you know when the invitation will open again ?
They are just sending invites to the 2021 PGP sponsorship starting last week. So 2022 would be the next one. No one knows when and how they want to handle PGP 2022. It's unlikely the PGP 2022 will happen in Jan 2022.

Hello everyone. I received an invitation to apply. However my income for 2018 is a bit shy for $600 since I’m new in Canada and started my job March 2018. Can I just apply one parent instead of both parents? Is there anyone there have similar situation? Thank you.

I expect a flurry of posts like the one above soon.
People claiming that they actually don't meet the LICO cut-offs AFTER they've been invited.

These guys totally don't realise that they've snatched the opportunity away from someone who probably had this.

I wish them the best, but certainly won't be helping them... and suggest no one else on the forum helps them either.

The rules are there for a level playing field & are made clear to every one right from the start.

This is the reason I suggest that people who are invited to apply, but then don't actually meet the criteria should be fined & barred for a certain period from applying again.

If I can apply only one of my parent instead of both since my income for 2018 is a bit less than what is required for 5 persons.

You cannot apply for 1 parent as long as they are both alive and married. It was asked repeatly. Both parents needs to go through medical, police and background check. Picking who to sponsor and who not to is not an option. (Since one of your parent can apply to sponsor a spouse later on)

Totally agree with you
IRCC should barred these kind of people for minimum 5 year so that they learn their lesson and other also should not snatch some one else seat

people are trying for last 5-6 years without any luck ..

BUT IRCC is fully aware of this kind of application where people income are not enough and they also applied
So as per IRCC They are going to call enough application so that VALID Application they received is 30 K

Which means TOTAL invitation will be around 33K approx (if IRCC feels from past experience approx 10% people are like this , who simply apply and not interested)
Having said that still i feel why people apply if they know last 3 year income is not enough for sponsoring parents.

Good Luck

You are right mate this is just a beginning, you will see lots of posts like those.

IRCC should come up with something very aggressive to stop this, not sure why people are just applying on the basis of hope and not meeting the requirements while they fully understand them.

IRCC is aware of this flaw and they clearly said their is not way to identify such application in advance
so they are going to invite enough application so that effective invitation will be approx 30K , which means it might be around 33-35 K

But still it’s there should be some though action in place such as banning to apply for few years if sponsor is not meeting income requirements specifically, because this is so basic to understand.
