question for seniors here:

My parents passport will expire next year, May 2022.

they received medical request today.

Is it ok to renew their passport after their medical?

and submit the new passport once they received ppr?

Hi All, new to this forum I got a PCC request for my father today from London office which states:

Updated police certificates from all districts/areas for yourself, your dependent spouse and all dependent children who are over 18 years of age. They must be from ALL the districts and areas where residence was for more than six months. If you have recently (within the past 6 months) submitted a police certificate to our office, please take this opportunity to resubmit that police certificate.

My father is on Super visa since 2017 in Canada. Can you advise if I need to submit PCC for all the countries he lived in since 18 years? or just the last 10 years.

Who do I send the info to be included on the database?

you need to submit PCC for all countries he lived in since 18 with the exception of Canada. You can post your info in this thread and we will update it.

Hi, how did you submit documents through myCic, I couldn't find any options for uploading there. I had to submit a webform...
Hi @gen_z There was a section on top, just under "Application Status and Messages"
Just as below

Application status and messages
Check the status, review the details and read messages for your application. View submitted application or upload documents

Hope this helps

Hi @laxsun , Sorry, what is a "SA letter"?
Good to know my parents application is one of the fastest ones to get processed :)
Would it be cos, there are already here in Canada?

Also, when I check in the CIC account - I don't see the approved status anywhere, it's still "Submitted" under "Current status" - is it normal?

SA letter is sponsorship approval letter that mentions local visa office where your parents' application will be processed.
Do you have date of it.
The status may change in few days in MyCIC as you don't have COPR yet.

To do medical, you need IME requisition letter to go to panel of physician.

We received Pre-Arrival letter today. Also, my father has inactive TB. So, he received a letter that would need to be completed at port of entry and he would need to visit a doctor within 30 days after landing.

When can we expect PPR now? it has been more than 2.5 years now.

Parents are in India.

Hello Guys,

My parents are expected to arrive next month.
I have couple of questions:
1. We need Health Insruance for Parents until we are able to register for OHIP?
I understand that wait time is waived by ontario govt, but it may take time to get address proof which is mandatory to apply OHIP, and you are not covered until you apply and get temp OHIP number.

2. To apply OHIP we need Local Addres proof for parents, which is convinient and fastes way to get it?
Provincial Card is one but that may take 1-2 months..

Thanks.
