Hi All,
I applied for supervisa for my parents on sep 19 via GC key account. i see here now that they are asking to apply via IRCC account. Do we need to re-submit via IRCC now?............Thanks!
Did IRCC instructed you to re-apply in the new portal instead of GCKey account? Or you observed that people are applying in new IRCC portal & sharing the news here? I haven't found anyone who applied for SUPERVISA using new IRCC Portal. Please keep us posted if you are able to do so.

Thanks

Hi @fahad04 , I don't think there are clear instructions on the official website. They mention about applications submitted before Sep 7th but say nothing specifically about applications submitted after that. Hence I applied and payed the fees via GC Key portal. Looking at some comments here and on facebook groups, i thought maybe we have to re-apply via IRCC portal. Hence wanted to confirm with you guys. Even on the Canadian website, it still gives you option to apply with GCKey /Sign-in partners if we follow the instructions to apply for supervisa. There is too much confusion :(

Hey All,

I'm not sure if I understand this correctly. I wanted to apply supervisa for my parent but it says that we needed a medical insurance. What if I paid that amount but the VISA isnt approved yet before the start date? Is this how its supposed to be, we have to risk that insurance? Also, if I apply now, does anyone think my parent can come in December? Location: Hong Kong

You pay but if you don’t get approved you usually can cancel. You schedule the start of your coverage to start when they arrive in Canada.

Hello Everyone,

I have applied supervisa for my parent on 16th Sept and I got biometric request yesterday(19th) for both. I was trying to book on VFS website for biometric enrollment. We got appointment for the same on 29th November. But according to the IRCC we have to submit biometric with in 30 days.

Can someone please guide me, what I have to do at my end? Do I have to inform IRCC?

Thanks
Same case with me, I am thinking of raising webform intimating them about late biometric submission appointment date. ALthough i dont know how to raise webform, this is what i am thinking.

Does supervisa fall under this category... the site only says visit visa?

I Posted this on another thread, reposting here to get some guidance.
For anyone - who has applied twice. What about medicals? did you do upfront medical? As I don't see anyone mentioning medicals in their timeline?

I have a very specific situation with my mother's supervisa application
applied on July 8th
Biometrics submitted on August 16th - but they status of biometrics still says not received
Raised a webform on August 22nd for covid 19 exemption
Received mail response on Sept 10th
No updates post that.

Should i apply again as everyone is doing? and will the biometrics submitted will be considered for the new application? should we do upfront medical this time before applying?
Any inputs would be of great help, thank you.

Our application passed medicals
  1. Submitted Aug 15
  2. Biometrics requested: Aug 17
  3. Biometrics completed: Aug 24
  4. Medical requested: Sep 15
  5. Medical done: Sep 17
  6. Medical passed (in application): Sep 21
Anyone who got super visa approval recently, how long can it take after medical passed?

This forum has helped me a lot throughout this journey so here is my post to help in return.

Details:
  1. My father had a visitor visa that expires in Aug 10 2021
  2. I applied for Supervisa in Feb 2021 when he was in India, however, due to Biometrics suspension, the case basically went on hold.
  3. On July 18 2021, he reached Canada using his existing Visitor visa instead of waiting for Supervisa given IRCC had a huge backlog. He successfully landed in Canada with few days left for visitor visa expiry. Keep in mind, even if the Visa expires - the entry is granted for 6 months (unless otherwise told or stamped on passport) - Read

  4. July 29, 2021 - My father was able to complete biometrics within Canada at one of the Designated Service Canada offices
    1. Biometrics got updated on the portal the same day however it took 2 more days for it to update in the "Details about your application status" section.
  5. August 3, 2021 - We received a request for "Medical Report - Section A Client identification and summary (IMM 1017E)"
    1. My father was able to complete his medicals with one of Panel Physician
  6. August 19, 2021 - Doctor's office confirmed the submission of medicals to IRCC
  7. August 20, 2021 - Using Webform, I explained and attached a cover letter explaining IRCC about submission of Biometrics/Medicals within Canada. I further explained about my father's US Travel history and how he should be granted Supervisa within Canada on humanitarian and compassionate grounds
  8. August 30, 2021 - PPR: Passport Request and the same day we sent passport to CPC Ottawa
  9. Unfortunately, my father had a brain stroke and could not live to see his Supervisa
  10. September 15, 2021 - Passport received from CPC Ottawa with Supervisa PG-1 Counterfoil
