How did people achieve score above 481? Do really so many people know French?
I got 501 with 1 year work experience, masters and C1 in both English and French. Hard to imagine how to achieve that without a second language! maybe they have jobs in Canada?

I am getting nervous as we get closer. Some sign that things are happening. Either another FSW draw/some big set of people get their PPRs(doesn't have to be me). Some Post March 2020 AOR Non-US(preferably Indian resident, because we had biometrics closed for about a year).

Brace yourself for another 75 score CEC draw with 27000 invites today.

I think a large portion of those 481-490 are 481 which is the max you can get without a second language and job offer. So a 5k draw might reach 481 with tie breaker rule separating most.

You could also have a PhD and reach 496, but then you would be part of the 491-500 group. I still think a large majority of the 481-490 are 481 which is the common score of a fluent masters holder under 30.

Not really if the applicant is around 30+ years, and has a Ph.D, they'd fall in the 481-490 category. This makes sense actually since most people who graduate BS is at their early 20s, if they complete their master's immediately they would be in their mid-20s, by the time they completed their Ph.D they'd be in the late-20s. Add in 3 years of work experience, and you get someone in their early 30s.

Yea, things have been hold for new applicants. Many have been waiting since around April for BIL/MEP. Let's hope things start to move soon.
