Guys, I have gone through the full 279 pages of this forum. Honestly the more you stick to this issue, the harder you make it for yourselves. Just leave it on its own. There is this saying in my culture that "the harder you try to hold the soap, the faster it escapes from your hands". Before I create my profile a few months ago, my friend who is already in Canada told me that just register to the system and leave it. Go live your life, and if they sent you an email that you are selected, go for it and submit your documents and once again, go back to live your life until they let you enter Canada. I do realize what those who say can't make a decision for their lives feel, but you have to understand that this is not the same as applying for university or a job offer that follows a clear and timed path. To me, it kinda feels like the lottery now, although this system is by far more logical and predictable, still I believe one should not put a pause on his life waiting for draws or receiving ITAs.

There have been many signs if you’ve been following this thread recently.
Honestly those signs aren't really much more than grasping at straws tbh. When the month wise AOR threads start showing activity, multiple people commenting that they got PPR etc, like it used to happen before last year. That's the sign i'm looking for. Hopefully that will start in September once the travel restrictions end.

Just got this response from my VO. So annoying they can’t reply to webform queries without the Covid 19 excuse. Also I don’t understand how replying to webform emails would take away from their ability to process apps. I thought they have separate staff to handle emails.

For me, I consider this the most transparent and easiest immigration pathway offered by a country that is my number one favorite destination in English speaking world. For any other Western nation, you have to go at least 5-10 years just to be granted a PR status, and another few years to become a Citizen. And you got to consider learning their languages as well, as well as the fact that many of them are not really actively welcoming migrants as Canada does. So we are making a risk by creating a profile and waiting to be selected, but if you look at what you "could possibly' earn from this risk, it absolutely worths it.

I agree. This is virtually the only outland program in the developed world, that isn't restricted to only certain NOCs. And it used to work pretty well before Covid struck. I only hope they can get their act together and go back it's usual self.

Canada is giving an easy path to PR and citizenship not out of the goodness of their heart but because they are in need of immigrants and woke up too late to it. Other countries like US and UK always took in a lot of immigrants in the past years and now they don't need them as urgently as Canada does. Just look how stupid their work permit policy is, impossible to get one if you have never lived there.

Haven't seen a single word of covid in all the afghan refugee news. Covid is a very handy excuse.

To me, Canada needs a population of about 60 million with a much younger average age in the workforce. They'll probably need to keep their immigration levels up for the next 7 8 years. They also lose skilled workers to EU and US. They need to build more houses and end the housing crisis, and aim to create more jobs in Canada.

That’s why FSW is not dying anytime soon.
