Hi..I have a flight booked for 23rd June with British Airways and they are saying that they will not allow me and my daughter to travel as we are PR holders. My husband is in Toronto and is a PR holder. Has anyone taken the British Airways flight recently and is a PR holder?..please help as I am stuck alone with my 2 yr old kid in Mumbai and need to get to Canada asap
Hello Akanksha,

Now days some people have flown succesfully via third country route. This is how it works: You can travel to a country where indian passport holder do not visa or just need e visa e.g. ethopoia, serbia etc.
Once you land in third country, get a PCR COVID test. After getting the negative report, you can fly to canada.

You have to plan all tickets in such a way that your COVID test should be taken within 72 hours within the departure to canada.

Check COVID test policy for the third country before flying.

Check this video for more details:

Hope it helps.

thanks and regards

Unfortunately these route keep on bringing in covid. Multiple times a week the Ethiopian flight has been bringing in covid. Hopefully Canada gets tougher with people getting around this loophole. Have strong concerns these transit locations are also not enforcing covid screenings. The Indian community is the one suffering as the delta variant takes over in places like Peel.

If people insist on doing this please at least quarantine away from family, which is now required, either in a basement suite or your own home/Airbnb. Quarantining in a room in a home with no—travellers (except the basement all alone) or having your non-traveling family quarantine with you is not allowed.

Hi,
Recently my wife got her COPR and has submitted her passport for stamping.
Right now I'm trying to find the travel options from India to Canada and also the process to enter Canada.
1. Initial Rtcpr test from India.
2. Rtcpr test from 2nd country ( we are planning via Mexico )
Wanted to understand more on the procedure as she doesnt have PR card and only has Immigrant Visa.
3. After entering into Canada does she need to Quarantine and get the Rtcpr test again?

Has anyone traveled from India to Canada via any other alternative countries?

Hey guys, I am PR holder. Landed in Canada in April 2021. Everywhere I look, I don't have any restrictions on coming back to Canada. Is it true? Can PR holders fly directly into Canada without going to 3rd country?

Yes. India to Canada direct. Are there no flights? Are there any flights operating from Canada to India? I might take the Mexico route while coming back, but want to make sure there is any flights to India.

There are no direct flights. Direct flights are banned until at least Sept 21.

Google "India flight ban".

There's a more recent thread where you may be able to get current information - https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/post-ppr-2021-moving-to-canada-2021-2022.739100/
