I got a call from an Anonymous number yesterday but I can't take it, and they didn't leave a voicemail. I am trying to call IRCC but I Can't get through as they have a high number of calls.
My question is: Could I have been accepted for urgent processing but since I didn't answer their call, the urgent processing would be denied? And should I keep trying calling them back on 1-888-242-2100 or they wouldn't know about it since they are not my local office?

Call center wont know who called you as mostly its come from their private number or at least i dont see that the office is deligiently putting the notes on reaching out to you(or if there is any policy to put notes of this kind). THey will email or call back or expedite your process if they have accepted your request. But this cant be denial reason.

But you can do one thing now is to call the call center and ask if your emergency request is accepted or not(they can find it notes if they see any).
I heard that calling at 8am sharp gets through the call or in off peak hours(not sure which time that would be).

@rajkamalmohanram , Did they send you an e-mail right after their phone call telling you your UP was approved or did you see an update on the tracker?

So thats what we expected then. Congrats. ITs DM in old ecas. Thinking they have accepted your urgent request.
So you should be getting oath invite soon.

They wouldn't necessarily deny urgent processing because you didn't answer the call. Try calling the call center and ask them if you were contacted by IRCC. Going forward (until you get passport) please try to answer any and all calls when you see them.

I saw the DM status the next morning after the call (I got the call on August 3rd, 8:25 PM). On the call, the IRCC official confirmed the oath date as August 23rd. On August 4th, I saw Decision Made. My oath was set to "In Progress" on August 5th but I only saw it on August 6th morning.

There was no email confirming Urgent Processing.

I called IRCC they said the file is in good shape but they don't have any notes concerning Urgent processing or oath dates. I'll just have to wait then for an email or an update on the tracker.

Yes, that's the number. They will only contact you in some cases even (if your UP request is approved, for example). They don't send an acknowledgement or anything like that for your UP application.

It takes time. One week is short. Wait for another week. You can certainly call and tell them to look for your urgent request.

Types of responses we get from cic:
Response in 10-15 days saying that they denied(or forwarded your request to local office for further processing).
Responding virtually by making the application gets moved to next stage quickly without any confirmation to you.
No response.

"Furthermore, we are pleased to confirm that the application is still in process". Can someone explain what this means... is this a nice way of saying my UP hasn't been rejected, yet.

Also, how long did it take for everyone else after receiving this email to get their decision?

No, that's just a boilerplate response. You can call IRCC after a couple of days and ask them if they can tell you if the UP request has been accepted. Webform response usually will not confirm that.
