Hello friends,

I need your precious words. I had given my Biometrics on 12 July and today it’s status changed from your action is required to submitted. I am a CEC applicant. Now next is PPR.

1) I don’t know how long PPR takes to arrive after Biometrics changes from YAIR to submitted.

2) my spouse passport has only 7 month validity, although we haven’t received our PPR yet, do you suggest to renew his passport or submit the current one (when it might be less than 6 months by the time we get PPR).

3) if my spouse sends less than 6 months passport, will his PR be rejected

4) is cic still giving 30 days to submit passport or is it 90 days due to COVID

what would you suggest
Your previous words please

thanks so muche

Hi, are you CEC Inland or Outland? And is your spouse in Canada?

Hi Maverick

I am CEC inland applicant
Then most probably you will not be required to send the passport. There is a new portal system in place for inland applicants. Please check about it. And as far as renewing passport is concerned, it is always better to have more than 6 months validity, not just for PR but in general as well. Many airlines do not allow travel with a passport with less than 6 months validity. The renewal should not take much time anyway.

Thanks a lot

1. ) do you know how to check about the new portal ?

2) and are you sure they won’t ask for our Passports ? So will we skip PPR step ?

3) Also do you know are they still providing 30 days or more for passport submission during COVID just to be sure in case we apply for passport renewal so we have time for submission just in case we are asked for passports
