They made it clear on their website that one of the advantages of sds Include a faster decision. Yes that is the harsh reality at least it appears that way to me, i think according to them its not about being fair its about delivering their obligation towards their sds clients and we really cant expect them to be fair. Like we just have to pay the price of opting for non sds, the good news however for us is that their work load is decreasing so i strongly believe they’ll give out decisions to every student before august 6th. I also observed a pattern where in youtube those ppr time line guys often mentioned “non sds files are also getting bulk pprs” karke. So yeah this appears to be their go to way of how to deal with files.
I'm just curious why you guys opted for Non-SDS when you had a choice. I'm from Nepal and the only reason I chose Non-SDS was because SDS option isn't available here. Not trying to insinuate anything this is my genuine curiosity.

Well i thought it wouldn’t make a difference thats what my consultant informed me, that usually the delay in decisions between sds and non sds is negligible karke. Clearly he was wrong. Covid played a huge role.

To start with you need a lot of money to be paid upfront. Many of us are from middle class families and cannot afford such luxuries so had to wait for our loans to be sanctioned. As someone called it out its plain privilege

I completely believed they will give out decisions before that timeline. Its just that 4 months of waiting has drained our brains.
Anywhoo.. its not like you don’t need to show funds for non-sds, the obligation is even bigger just that its not up front.

About the fact on non-sds vs SDS. Guess what? Most top schools master cannot just have SDS as the go-to route. Even after scholarship, what am paying in 1st year tuition fees is more than 2 year full fees and living cost for many of the PGD/cert/UGD etc etc programs. So heck no I am not putting that money in a foreign account. Even folks who just put in non sds applications in my class until March 20 got decisions by May 1st week as IRCC had taken pace.

Its just a sad time and no one could have predicted. If someone walks up telling you “I told you so”.. he is either fooling you or is a narc buffoon himself. Run away. Whether its me, your mates or a consultant. In fact a consultant could have guessed actually (if he is worth his salt)

Literally non-SDS applications who re-applied or did biometrics later have received decisions. So its just not that.

Its a long discussion. Just sharing my 2 cents.
Don’t cry over spilt milk. That’s all.
Hope for the best!

Definitely i agree, everything i just commented out is pure speculative assumptions. Its just that trying to reason with potential theories helps with my patients haha.

Ahaha my man, thanks for the support. What are you doing on the sad subforums?? Go have funnn. I’ll catch up soooon.
I will be here even if this is a sad thread. I have been in this situation till yesterday and I really don't like to move on and just start to praise IRCC just because I got ppr. They are still incompetent and is the worst when it comes to fulfilling their words. It is not fair of them to put early applicants on hold, we all submitted early to get decisions early, and we expected them to provide decisions in the logical way. Atleast untill you get PPR I am gonna stay here and interact with you, never gonna move on till we all make it out.

I really underestimated IRCC. I thought since I'm going for a master's and I have a scholarship, it would improve my chances. Damn, this wait is really unnerving. At this point, I just hope they give me a decision till 15th max.
Which university are you going to?

I don’t know how IRCC is processing the files.

I have submitted my study permit on 5th May
Biometric given on 6th and received medical request on 10th June. Then I passed the medical on 15th June. Since then no update.
My eligibility review has started on 22nd may.

I am a NONSDS applicant from Bangladesh.

One my friends has applied on 9th may and got the PPR on 13th July.

Two of my acquaintances submitted their applications on 15th June and 18th June. Both of them got the PPR just after one month.
