There is no need to rely too much on who the officer is and whom it is assigned to. Most of this info is usually only available in the notes and updates.

Instead, see if your eligibility is passed. If it is, then you need not worry.

Also, most applicants in Canada only have a record check for security, which is much faster. see https://bit.ly/3apWglN
Thanks for your reply

I raised many webforms pertaining to spousal addition which is not visible in the GCMS notes. The IRCC however does say that they have received the documents and has been sent to the officer. How is it possible that the IRCC is able to confirm the documents but GCMS has not recorded yet.

It can take 3-7 weeks for any documents to be processed and updated. After your spouse is added to the application, you will see a uci number of your spouse in your MyCIC account.

Hi @legalfalcon
I had a query regarding the PR confirmation portal. I received my ITA on 13th Feb 2021 under CEC. But due to some emergency, I had to travel outside Canada to India. I filed my PR application in India and mentioned in the application that I am currently in India. The address mentioned in the biometrics information letter is also from India.

When I will receive my PR Confirmation portal, can i mention in the portal that I am in India and or do I have to travel back to Canada? Can mentioning that I am in India create any issue or delay the process or will they give a PPR so that I can travel back?

Hello @legalfalcon

Since Canada is easing border restrictions for fully vaccinated travelers coming to Canada, can we hope that Canada will resume soon issuing PPRs to outland FSW applications whose their applications were approved on GCMS a long time back?

I am an outland FSW applicant and I am fully vaccinated. If I sent them my vaccination documents, can they accelerate issuing my PPR?

Thanks for your usual help!

If your address on file is that of India, you will not be issued a PR confirmation portal email. This is only for applicants who are physically in Canada. You cannot receive a COPR unless you are physically in Canada. Even if you receive a PR confirmation portal message, you have to inform IRCC that you are not physically present in Canada.

Most likely IRCC will send you a PPR to submit your passport at your LVO in your country of residence so that you can be issued a COPR and PR visa.

Sending vaccination certification will have no impact. IRCC is and will continue to send PPRs to applications that have been approved.

Hello @legalfalcon

Any updates on when IRCC will resume issuing PPRs for outland FSW applicants? As per GCMS, my FSW-O application was approved since last year and till now I am getting no PPR.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @legalfalcon
Is it okay to travel to Canada on a visitor visa if I am still awaiting PPR? I am FSW-O

Yes. If you already have a visa you can, and even you can apply for a visa.
