True. I think there is no change in policy on record.
These cases are so individual that I would not worry about good and bad years. My spouse applied in 2019, 2020 and 2021. He was refused in 2019 and 2020, but got AIP in 2021. Exactly same HC arguments, but first two times ended in Montreal office and last time in Vancouver, which finally gave AIP.
Your 2019 applicant One time insider Klein ID number on database since that your in system
They only pay attention to the New documents and evidence you sent it the second to 3 times and arguments
not the whole file that’s why your answer was really fast then first time or second time
Exactly like a reconsideration

I don’t know how to explain to you but basically they count client ID number one enter
They on the Count new applicants

H&C is a completely separate program. It's not part of the refugee program.
It might be Not familiar about that but they have some applicants like H&c/PRRA They combine both application together then make a one decision

If your application get approved one of the other then you get a letter it says you can’t travel to your home country

there is always change in Policy also depending on politics
Prepare for the worst hope for the best
Transparency is there if policy changes. Case to case differ. Despite clear guide lines, subjectivity element decides the case.

You need to speak with your lawyer.

IRCC may look at this as misrepresentation.

Its so easy for you guys to say this is misrepsentation... He did not say that hi is gay or any other kind of lgbtq+ he just put a letter from an lgbtq community that’s all !!!
This is not misrepresentation at all !!! Misrepresented what ??? Also he is free to say what is his sexual orientation !!! They don’t ask in form what is your sexual orientation, Sexual orientation will not have an impact in the offficer decision just if someone for exemple say that he is lgptq as an H&c argument and in reality he is not in this case they maybe think is a misrepresentation if they will receive an information from someone who said that the applicant is not an lgbtq and officer if he think that applicant missrepeesented he should send a procedural fairness to the applicant to give him the right to clarify the problem

You are not a professionals in immigration so it’s better to not say anything than giving false information and confusing people

The OP said the friend wrote "lgbtq letters" but the OP isn't active in that community.

I agree that it doesn't matter what someone's orientation is. However it is really quite important that anything included in the application is truthful, including any support letters.

OP is concerned enough to post here so I think it's really important they speak with their lawyer.

Would really suggest getting a consultation with another immigration lawyer. Based on your posts you seem to have been given false expectations that you have a strong case for approval. As a UK resident who is lonely and wishes to be closer to relatives that is not a very strong H&C argument. I would Suggest looking to see if you qualify to immigrate via economic streams. How old are you? Since you have status in the UK PPRA is not really an option. If wishing to be closer to family members was a good reason for H&C approval then a much large number of people would be approved. It’s unclear what you are really indicating when it comes to the LGBTQ+ letters. There are unfortunately people who do fake their sexuality to seek asylum approval in Canada or people may be under the impression that being part of the LGBTQ+ community may increase the empathy associated with their H&C application. Given that the UK is an open society where socializing as an LGBTQ+ member wouldn’t be an issue there wouldn’t be a difference between Canada in the UK. What did the letters say exactly?

I agree. No need to panick. One can be member of LGBTQ society but straight. He can just support the cause. Plenty of celebrities and business leaders advocate for LGBTQ.

Hello @Ayanna is it possible to combine reconsideration for H&C and PRRA together as well and decide on one.

Hi i didn't mentation in my H&C application that i belong to LGBTQ my application was based on hardship and establishment , yep life is not easy if you live alone ,its kinda lonely and its effecting my mental health so applied for H&C based on that, but mistake is that i think most people don't like LGBTQ people and officer maybe don't like them and misunderstand me as a gay so i already wrote an email to my lawyer about that and waiting for her response ,also please send me immigration email so i will send them an email.thanks
