Hi there,

Tricky questions for you today.

I heard the content of the test varies: it is adapted to your location, so you have your Province's specific questions.

How about you moved ON to QC a week before the test, will you have to know all about current events in ON or QC or even both?

And the issue of the Discover Canada being out of date regarding, for example, the number of ridings? For the test purposes, how many ridings does Canada have?

Finally, for test purposes, who is the Governor General of Canada? Julie Payette, Mary May Simon or nobody?

No questions on province based. Just read the book. No current political leaders too. So just read the book and practice online tests to help further.
They will ask only from the book, not from the latest update such those number of ridings. Go with the book content only.

If, in an off chance, you are asked about the Governor General - Look at the options provided. If you see Mary Simon in the options, then choose that. Same goes for the number of electoral districts. If you see 338 in the options list, then choose that. Otherwise choose 308.
