Ask again because I didn't see any answer to my question

For those whose parents received DM2 or COPR recently, are they in Canada already? Do I need to fly my mom in to accelerate the process as I believe CIC is still prioritizing those who's currently in Canada?

Hello...my parents did their medical last week in Pakistan (London VO). My dad was told that his chest xray wasn't clear and needs sputum tests done in 3 consecutive days. Anyone else here experienced anything similar? If so, pls share your experience..hoping that it doesn't delay their PR application..

@laxsun @robertp
The medical will take few months to pass when sputum test has to be done. You can search in this thread for the cases discussed.

If your mom has visa and ready to come here, good to bring her now in summer as Covid situation in BC is improving.
However there is no guarantee that her case processing will accelerate by doing that. I think once she is here, the landing process is all virtual.

I have not received COPR yet but my parents are not in Canada at the moment.

Needed to know if someone else is has a similar case.
Applicated submitted June 9, 2019
AOR Sep 30, 2020
Already have a Super Visa

No communication as of yet. I am also unable to find / link parents application to online portal. Web form just sends back general issues to linking online application. Calling into 1888-242-2100 says we are still processing application, not able to talk with a representative tough.

Any help would be appreciated.

AOR is communication. Your parents would have already done biometrics and they don’t ask for meficals right away because processing has been taking longer and they don’t want medicals to expire over and over again. They try to minimize having to do medicals to maximum 2 times.

So why am I not able to find my file online or link it to my online account?

Forgot to mention, that unfortunately my father passed away in April 2021. He was the principle applicant. I have been trying to link my application online ever since so I can mention the change in the file.
Do you guys recommend doing it in any other way?
Thanks in advance

I am Sorry for your loss.
You should inform IRCC about the situation using webform and send them the death certificate. Mention that you want to proceed with the application making your mom the principle applicant.

Hi,
June applicant here, the status is “application received” Are there many people like me here who had no progress other than the application is received?

My Parent's application was also in "Application Received" status until June 17th 2021 and then moved to "In Progress" now.
Note: I applied on June 27th 2019 and received AOR on Jan 2021
