My application is currently 13 months and counting. It has been approved since March last year according to the GCMS notes, "***OFFICER REVIEW*** APPLICATION APPROVED*** FOSS NAI, SATISFIED ALL REQUIREMENTS MET"

But I haven't heard anything from anyone since. I've requested like 3 more GCMS notes since then and nothing has changed. It's like they've forgotten I exist. My medicals expired last November. I don't know if it was extended. What is on my profile is "January 20, 2020 You passed the medical exam."

Should I get another medical?

Please i am in a similar situation. Although, i have done remeds but they have refused to update it. My previous medicals expired on May 12, but on my profile, it is still showing “May 26, 2020 You passed the medical exam”

My file is in AVO... last gcms showed all criteria passed. I proactively did a remedical in February when some people stated that their passports were returned because they had less than 6months medical validity. However, the new medicals has not been updated on my profile. The previous medical that was meant to expire May 12, is still showing “May 26, 2020 You passed the medical exam”... i have been emailing and sending webforms to both AVO and HKVO since March attaching my medical info sheet.

However, i got this mail from HKVO yesterday
“This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Migration Section of Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao.

Please be aware that IRCC Hong Kong has completed the minor processing activity we were assigned on your file. IRCC Hong Kong is no longer involved in processing your application for permanent residence in Canada.
Please re-send your enquiry to IRCC Accra.”

Has anyone gotten this reply from HKVO? If yes, have they requested and gotten gcms after this?
Also, why is my profile not showing that my previous medicals is expired? And what can i do to get my new medicals updated?

I recently got same response from HKVO. But that was after I had gotten my GCMS notes back in April. AVO hasn't been responding to web or email inquiries since last year. It's frustrating.

You don't need to worry, your medical has been received they can see it on their end but accra like to delay updating the gckey as they go, they wait till the end and update all at once. I know this because my husband is in the same situation. He did his medical since 6th of May and it still shows his previous medical that he passed may 2020.
I called ircc from here in Canada and asked the rep to look into my file since my husband is a dependent on it and tell me if he sees his recent medical update. The call rep told me he could see it from his end and the medical showed the date my husband sent in his webform and told me Ottawa can not do the job as my husband visa processing and passport is in Ghana. He assured me the medical delayed update will not affect his visa stamping as Ghana can see it on from their side when his file is looked at. Please relax and just wait for your processing you don't need to worry.

Hello Nneoma. I believe this means they’ve resumed….I was under the impression that they took a pause due to COVID or something…perhaps the backlogs are overwhelming… please I have some questions concerning your husband application so I can use it to mirror mine.

1. What date did he get ITA?
2. What date did he get AOR?
3. What date did he do medical?
4. When was the medical updated on his profile?
5. Did he redo his medicals since it has one year validity?

I am taking 5th June 2021 as the day his visa was issued… Many thanks

THEY RESUMED ALREADY BUT THEY HAVE SO MUCH BACKLOGS

1. What date did he get ITA? I ADDED HIM ON MY ALREADY PROCESSING APPLICATION on 27TH AUG 2019 (I already submitted for processing before we wedded, just added him on my application as my dependent).
2. What date did he get AOR? HE REFLECTED ON MY ACCOUNT ON OCT 2019, SO HIS AOR SHOULD BE OCT 2019
3. What date did he do medical? HIS MEDICAL WAS DONE IN MAY 27TH
4. When was the medical updated on his profile? WAS PASSED ON 30TH MAY 2020
5. Did he redo his medicals since it has one year validity? YES, HE DID AN UPFRONT ON 6TH OF MAY AFTER RECEIVING RECEIVING HIS PPR ON 26TH APRIL BECAUSE HIS MEDICAL WAS GOING TO EXPIRE IN 4 DAYS AND THAT MIGHT DELAY HIS VISA STAMPING. HAD TO DO UPFRONT SINCE A NEW MEDICAL REQUEST WAS NOT FORTHCOMING.

I am taking 5th June 2021 as the day his visa was issued… Many thanks, HIS VISA WAS ISSUED ON THE 4TH OF JUNE.

AOR: January 10th, 2020.
Yes, part of my file was sent to Hong Kong. HKVO has however notified me that they were through with my file and have since transferred it back to AVO.
