When your medical was extended, was it showing up on your online account. Because mine is also extended as per agent but its not showing up on the online portal.

Is there anyone who was requested a remedical and the status on the ivr says “We have requested a medical exam”, even after more than 2 weeks of giving the exam ?
I am really worried cos I’m not sure of my wife’s remedical has been received yet .

If you are in Canada, it takes 7 to 10 working days from centre where you took exam. Alternatively you can call them, they will confirm the details

Thanks for getting back. Yes we are in Canada. The remedical was taken on 23rd Apr, which makes it almost 10 working days. The doctor has confirmed that the results had been transmitted within a few days of taking the exam. Ircc call center agent is unable to confirm if they have received it.

When I did the remed I discovered the doctor uploaded it as an upfront medical exam. They failed to use the UCI I'd provided so it never got linked to my active application.

I only discovered this because, like you, I noticed the status on my application hadn't changed even though I'd been advised they uploaded the medical result. After several phone calls they realised their mistake and managed to upload it to the correct profile.

@legalfalcon My AOR is March 2020, CEC inland and criminality is still in progress, when I called to IRCC last week they said my medical got extended on 20th April but neither updated in the portal nor any update to me. What I can do now? Should I worry? I am very stressed out. Please suggest.

For criminality, the biometric fingerprints you provide, they are assessed by RCMP and a report is sent. After the report is received, an officer has to update it in the system. The delays usually happen at the end of IRCC or RCMP. Irrespective of whether your criminality is in progress, other stages will continue to be progresses. See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/corporate-initiatives/biometrics/process-steps-2018.html

As regards medicals, if they have been extended, then there is no need to be concerned it will be updated soon.

This should not be a concern at all.

Instead ask for your eligibility, send a webform or request your GCMS notes. see https://bit.ly/2Q2NCDp

BGC = criminality and security.

The BGC refers to criminality and security. This is why the BGC status in MyCIC changes twice during the processing of the application. Post 2018, criminality is based on PCCs and the biometrics fingerprints you submit. The PCC are verified early along with R10 and that is when you may see the value as passed, which will change to not started, and again to passed after your fingerprints are processed by RCMP and the results are transmitted to IRCC.

However, security will only initiate after eligibility is passed for most applicants.

To see how the notes look like after eligibility see #4,004

Very sorry to hear that. Did you need to call the panel physician to get it rectified or ircc and how did they realize their mistake ? After how many days of your remed did ircc finally receive and pass your medicals ? Can you pls share some details ? Thanks !
