Hi Everyone,

Got MEI for my mother at May 07, she's in Canada on visitor visa and her VO is London, UK.

Question: not able to find any appointment exam until mid Aug but in that Medical Instructions they stated
"You are required to undergo the medical examination within 30 days of the date of this letter. Failure to do so may result
in the refusal of your immigration application."

Anyone has experience when their parents are in Canada and booking medical exam?

Regards,
Nadeem

Hi Asad,

Sorry, I think I didn't provide enough information, so basically:

Application: July 2019
Sponsorship Eligibility: Feb 2020 (London, UK)
Bio-metrics: Feb 2020 (but exempted due to 80 years of age)
MEI: May 2021

She's visitor here in Canada with me, finger crossed to get everything done within 3 months.

I've just checked my parents application status and in the status bar it says "your action is required" , but there is nothing to act on.
Last time I've checked it was something like we received your info , which was medical my parents passed on the 28th of April.
Is it ghost update? Is something coming? Am I missing something?
Reread the letter requesting medical, they just requested medical, nothing else there... medical has been submitted and accepted....
Tried to call them, but obviously they are the busiest people in the world... no one to talk to. Please help? Does it happen to anyone else?

Hello All and applicants at the London LVO, yes, there is movement from the London visa office. Following requested today to be submitted in 30 days:
1. PCC
2. Medical
3. Schedule A
4. IMM5406 Additional Family Information
5. IMM 5562: Supplementary Information

I am line 750 in the tracker.
Received a communication from CRA on September 30 2020 to provide IMM 5768 financial evaluation. I provided that and said yes for them to be authorized to request information from CRA on the same day and got confirmation on October 10th 2020 that they have received the document.
Today May 7th 2021, they send another communication that my application is incomplete and they need print c for 2016, 2017 and 2018. Has anyone experience this before?

Hello Nadeem. Same here, I also got the IME request today but there are no dates available. Any ideas for booking the appointment early!

Can you or someone else elaborate on how pre-arrival letter receipt is good news? I was searching the forums but didn't get a clear answer.

Also, I am on the tracker. I don't remember all the timelines because it's been so long, lol. What I remember is that the application was received on 15 May 2019. Medical and additional documents request was received in Feb 2020. Case is being processed by London, UK visa office. Everything has been pretty much done for a while and we are just waiting for DM for applicant. Good luck to everyone waiting.
You are currently in line 277. What is your parents' medical is pass status?

Hi Everyone,
I am currently Canadian PR and will apply for citizenship at the end of this year. I am interested in sponsoring my parents through PGP PR program. I have few queries about it. Hope you guys can help.

1.) I am married and my wife is in India. Because of some personal reasons, I am not planning to sponsor her to Canada in near future. For income eligibility for PGP, should I consider I’ll be responsible for as 2 people (my mom and dad) or 3 (mom, dad and wife).

2.) my parents already have Visitor visas for canada, for which my brother sponsored them in 2017 (I wasn’t in Canada that time). Now because of low Income my brother isn’t able to sponsor them for PGP program. Am I able to sponsor them on my own for PGP even though visitor visa was sponsored by my brother?

3.) I am also planning to bring them to Canada in future as they already have visitor visa. If they get selected for PGP, are they allowed to stay in Canada during PGP application is in process?

4.) I came to Canada in Dec 2018 hence do not fulfill income criteria for year 2018, but I am good for 2019 and 2020. But my consultant suggested me to fill the ‘interest to sponsor’ form anyway and said we can seek for exception. What’s your thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance!

You got this request under my cic account as a new message? Or was it only via email? Did anything on myCic account changed for you?

1) You need LICO for 4 people. You have to include yourself, your wife and your parents in the calculation.
2) Yes, you can sponsor them.
3) Yes.
4) Your consultant has given you bad advice. Refusal is automatic if you don't meet LICO. There are no exceptions granted.
