Approval Status - How detailed is it?

Will be applying soon and starting to look for jobs and such as well as a transfer for my wife.

How detailed is the status update / approval pending on the website in 2021? Do you get pretty solid updates on a variety of things like what stage it's at, if it's almost approved, etc.

Just trying to plan and any details would be great

The answer to your question is no. The updates are not solid and they do not give you a good indication of where the application stands.

And no, they're not always quick, up-to-date, or particularly clear. And in the age of Covid, a lot of the processing order has been a little bit... free-form.

Worrying about the online tool and constantly checking for updates will give you more anxiety and stress than just waiting for updates without logging in sixteen times a day.
