Received AOR-1 this morning! It’s amazing how a letter saying we’re still not looking at your application yet can be so uplifting!

I am a November 2020 inland applicant and Recieved an "aor" email this morning. However it was just the "pre-aor" with the temporary file number. And specifically says "Next steps
We will assess your application to ensure it is complete, and provide you with a permanent
application number."

Is yours like this too?

Yeah, I think that’s AOR-1 then there’s the AOR-2 when you get an application number that you can link to your account.
If anyone knows better, please feel free to correct me.

On the spreadsheet it looks like some people get their OWP before AOR-2, does anyone have an order of service?

As far as I understand it's not the real aor. AOR1 will have your permanent file number and if I'm not wrong aor2 is mostly for outland applications when they send it to the other visa office. With covid they've now added this "pre-aor" with temporary file number to reassure people that the file has been delivered (but not opened yet). Same with sending automatic biometrics reminder emails to applicants who already paid their biometrics fees.

Got our email this morning as well. Application recieved by ircc Mississauga December 7th. Still a long waiting game ahead unfortunately.

Just got our email this morning with AOR and temp number.. says application was received Dec 21. Happy to hear at least something!

Looks like some November folks are getting AOR and OWP.
Maybe it's time to check my inbox bit more frequent.

Hi guys - just called them. My application was deemed complete yesterday - so it will now enter processing as it has been reviewed by a case officer. I am yet to receive my AOR 2 but the lady on the call assured me that my application cannot be sent back to me and I should recieve linking steps soon.

Did you check ECAS to see if you can see info for your application. Also when did you submit your application?

Hey - so I haven't recieved my application number yet. Have to wait for AOR 2 and linking steps.

I think you can use the temp file number - X in Pre-AOR or the file number in biometric fee remainder letter.

That doesn't work yet so I'm assuming the number changes or hasn't been updated for linking yet. I would say just give them a call to see if yours has entered processing yet as well.
