Has anyone came across a case like this? Mine was a family application for citizenship in dec 2019...cleared the test in April first week... Now status for me shows as DM, but for my minor child it is still in process.

Its pretty normal. Its been observed from other posts that minor applications stay in process until adult applicant is granted citizenship. Good luck.

The average time taken to receive the certificate post the oath ceremony is 1 - 3 weeks depending where you live. This is just based on the feedback received in the forums. your might come early or later than the mentioned time frame.
Yes, the certificate is mailed post your oath ceremony.

Yah, it is like that. Once the Oath completed then for both status will change to Completed.

The interview is same as what it would have been if it was face to face prior to COVID.
It may differ from person to person. I may not be able to divulge much detail, just that, they validated her travel history.

Vancouver Office strikes again... I haven't had any news from them so far. Test invites are being sent all across the country except in BC.

Are there any Montreal applicants from December 2019 who have received test/oath invite?

My timeline is as follows:

Fingerprint Requested: 27 Feb 2020
Fingerprint Submitted: 17 Mar 2020

I have lost my job and received an overseas employment opportunity. I have requested urgent processing since physical presence is required for test and oath but there is no update since 02 months. I have also requested the office of MP but the file has not moved. IRCC agent always say on the phone that my file is still in Sydney office and background checks are in progress.
I am considering to proceed with the opportunity and request to postpone the test and oath. It won’t be easy to return back to Canada before 06 months from a new job. Kindly advise what is the best approach, either request to postpone upon receiving the invite while outside Canada or inform IRCC in advance (through web form or call) so they do not schedule the test/interview before 06 months?
My family will continue to stay in Canada. Will there be any effect on their application?

Hi All, How did you prepare for citizenship test? I am finding it very difficult to remember the names, dates and years. Any tips would be appreciated. I am aware that you are not supposed to discuss or reveal the questions you had faced. So I am not asking for that. Any sources for your preparation other than Discover Canada pdf or any other material that helped you or any one pager cheat sheet etc. The names, dates, years and the whole discover document and the info is too overwhelming and I am afraid if I would clear the exam or not. Thanks
