Your applications “as whole is in process” since your background check is underway. Your eligibility for whatever you are applying for (You don’t mention visa type or PR) has not started.

So a TRP is for people who are inadmissible to Canada. This will take a lot longer because the background check will have to review your inadmissibility due to your criminal or medical convictions.
