Hello,
I lodged my file in march 2020. Got AIP in August 2020 and started attending online classes. I have taken 1 year program from Seneca College, King Campus that is completed now and still waiting for the visa.

My query is....as my study is completed, will IRCC provide me the visa?

Waiting for the response.

Thank you!

Why would you need visa if you completed your studies while processing your SP? You can update IRCC on this status. Worst case if they reject, you will still have completed your studies which was the sole purpose of your application

They said in their policy that students can complete 100% of their education from home countries. I am eligible for PGWP. It is their negligence that they are not focusing on black logs and concentrating on new files.

As long as lengthy of the program is 8 months and started between spring of 2020 to or until fall 2021 you are eligible.

it is interesting situation,

what if they refuse SP? and sebsequent you apply pgwp? Will refusal have impact on your pgwp? I have seen lots of students take online course before SP, I know its sound okey as long as you are outside of Canada, but what happens in case of refusal and you complete your studies?

I don't know what will happen if they refuse my file due to this reason that my study is completed. But, if they will refuse due to this reason that means they are not adhering to their own policies. It is their mistake, they should prioritize the files accordingly but alas they are doing their business from new files.

I suggest you send a webform or email your country's VFS. Like a lot of times.

I lodged my application on March 2020, didn't receive AIP. Requested GCMS notes on July. Sent a couple of follow up emails from November to December 2020 (December because my medical exam expires on that month, and it should be valid upon leaving my home country).

First week of December 2020, I received a reply from VFS one night. I replied immediately, then a day after, received PPR. I left 2 weeks after.

Just message them. It's a mistake on their part that they prioritize new applications, but it is also your responsibility to track the processing time in your country and to keep track of your application. A year of waiting is too much.

I emailed Delhi immigration number of times. They just have simple response that delay is due to COVID-19. Also send them lot of web forms for remedical that is done now and updated in my GCkey on April 20, 2021. Then again I sent them web form on April 28, 2021 requesting them to provide me visa outcome. Lot of students in my country are waiting for their visa from approximately a year or more. Some students are getting their results within 20 working days and some are waiting from year. It is totally unfair and disgusting situation.

It is definitely unfair, I was in that position too before. People who applied months after I did received their approval before I did.

What I did after I realized that they keep on replying the same generic thing to me was I made my emails more personal. I figured sending the same copy+pasted emails to them wasn't working so I made it more personal then told them about my situation (that I applied 8 months ago, etc.) I included all the scanned copies of the files I used for my application.

It's literally like making a new Letter of Intent because the situation when I applied was different compared to the situation months after. I took COVID into consideration in that letter. I think it really is important that they know you could fund yourself amid a pandemic.

Try to make your emails personable and try to include all the needed files in your document. Make the details bulleted, that's what worked for me. What also worked was putting "URGENT: etc etc" as the subject.

I really hope this helps. I know it's taking too long, and I know how frustrating it could be, but the situation in your country might also be a factor (to which I'm also extremely sorry to hear about).

Thank you dear. I will try this. To whom you sent the email? Or you sent email or webform?

I sent it to IRCC. I kept on saying VFS earlier, and that was wrong- it was with IRCC. I sent both email and webform because I was desperate; however, they only seem to be responsive via email. I got mine a day after sending the personable email I told you about + the URGENT subject.

I believe this is your country's IRCC email: DELHI-IMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca

I truly wish you luck! Let me know if this works out!

I used "URGENTLY NEED HELP: etc" and "NEED HELP: etc" as the subject in my last two emails to them. Going back to that message brings memories. I really wish you the best! I was desperate after 8 months, what more a year.. Let me know how it goes!

EDIT: Remember to include your UCI #, Date of Birth and Full name!

Yes it is my country's IRCC email. I sent them approximately 20 mails but not personal one. Now I will definitely use your method.

Thank you for your help!
