Called IRCC since it’s a month since I “passed” the test. Agent confirmed I passed the test looked at the file for good 10mins came back and said next step should be the oath and kinda accidentally slipped out of his mouth that it won’t be this month but expect something in mid May (he “assumes”) also feels like the app is just sitting at Scarborough.

Is there a requirement that if requested for interview by IRCC, you should be in Canada for the interview?

Yes. One has to be in Canada for test, interview and Oath.

I saw your previous posts that you did test on 18 March. When did your testing window ended? The officer(s) normally pick files a week to 10 days after the end of the testing window.

Keep following up. Perhaps ask again in 15 days time if you dont hear by then. Also with the current interviewing trend at Scarborough, keep an eye on your phone as well.

Goodluck.

I called to IRCC today (23 days after I completed the test or 5 days after the end of the test window) to check status of my test (Passed!) and found that my case is in Scarborough.
They invited us to the test after criminality & security had been passed, but residency and language are still pending.
The officer advised to wait for a decision as no more info is needed from us at this point of time.

Good luck. Keep an eye on emails and the phone. Residency and language are assessed as a part of interview (that is how it was for me).

Have you seen DM on your Ecas? I have been only focused on Scarborough and Mississauga. Perhaps others in this group can comment on expected timelines of Hamilton office.

Good luck to you and all the very best.

Thanks Adey, ya for some reason Scarborough loves to interview most applicants compared to other offices from what I see on here and Facebook groups. Just going to stop checking ecas for now and I’ll keep an eye out for emails/calls. Need to focus on studying for a couple of certifications at work. I’ll let you guys know if I hear anything.

Hi guys,

i have been following this group religously and you have some really good insight and observation regarding approaching the IRCC.
I am in a dilemma. I finished my interview on 26th March and got DM on 27th March. However, I am heavily pregnant with high risk. I have waited 3 weeks for oath and my condition isnt getting better, plus the healthcare here isnt being supportive, I cant seem to find a gynaecologist to treat me regularly due to Covid, (i constantly require weekly scans, IV and injections), so I need to travel out to receive the care I need from my previous gynaecologist in UAE.
I really dont want to travel before oath as its hard for me to travel back once I deliver etc etc, but I am toying with the idea of emailing my interview officer and explaining my situation, if there is anyway my oath can be expedited through him. I am just afraid of it backfiring and my oath further getting delayed..
I would really love to hear your sincere advise on what you would do in my place, or any alternative you can suggest apart from delaying my oath process.

I think you have a good case to be considered urgent. Do write back to your interviewing officer and see if he can help you in terms of expediting the Oath.

Stay safe, take care and good luck.

If I were you, I'd wait another week and then email the interviewing officer. We still have 3 more days this week, hopefully you would hear sooner.
