There’s nothing like a highly skilled immigrant from abroad who just directly pops in and starts paying taxes from day 1. No school, no work permit hasslesof course fsw will reopen. canada is the same size of usa with 1/10th of the population. they will need all the immigrants they can get.
Pretty much July will be when we see if Canada's strategy of '1st dose to everyone then second dose' worked since it takes several weeks to build imunity after the first shot. Hopefully there will be enough herd immunity to suppress any variants that get through the current generation of vaccines.https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/moderna-delay-1.5990166
According to this, about 30% will have received double dose while the rest will have received single dose by the end of June. I don't know jack about these things but even a single dose is said to be quite protective. Meeting this target could quite possibly end the pandemic for Canadians by the end of June. Around the same time the USA will probably also have ended the pandemic which is convenient since they share a border. Let's hope FSWs finally get lucky this summer.
By the way these figures neglect the vaccine production capacity increase we might see around the globe within the next 3 months. Canada might even surpass 50 mil by July.
It worked in Israel and the UK. Might be showing in the US tooPretty much July will be when we see if Canada's strategy of '1st dose to everyone then second dose' worked since it takes several weeks to build imunity after the first shot. It’s not going to be that straightforward. In the US there are millions of vaccines unused and potentially wasted because many people won’t take the vaccines. Not even half of the people are fully vaccinated.https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/moderna-delay-1.5990166

so that means no FSW for next year as well? oh, that would suck seriously.yes, what I tried to say earlier. the 90k is probably inteded to cover up almost all of 2022's quota. they'll take their applications this year until november and their processing will be fast enough since they're all in canada. they'll all be given PRs in 2022.
but we go logically this does look like they will already fill the 2022 quota by end of this year.no one can know, we'll have to wait and see. nonetheless, the 90k stream means 90k less FSW invitations.
This is definitely not true. It really depends on the major of the study and the province as welldefinitely. or pay a canadian school $20-30k for a one year long program if you can afford it. you get canadian credentials fairly quickly, a PGWP, and usually get employed quite fast after getting your degree. and of course, you may later qualify for CEC.
20k-30K CAD is the minimum that one would be paying for a year including the accommodationit does depend on one's major and the province, that's why it says usually, not always. you get employed quite fast (by canadian standards?) if you're outside of QC with a STEM degree. that's what I see from the academic circles around me.
It is not a disaster. That's just not true. It’s not going to be that straightforward. In the US there are millions of vaccines unused and potentially wasted because many people won’t take the vaccines. Not even half of the people are fully vaccinated.
Even if Canadians are much more willing to take vaccines. Canada vaccine delivery is a disaster and had only bad news so far.
Some finished their M.Sc recently and doing a PhD now. They’re on a study permit and working part-time! Now you know how. How? If they graduated after Jan 2017 from a Canadian university, they are eligible. If they graduated before that and are still living in Canada, what exactly have they been doing that they haven't been able to get a measly 1 year of work experience in 5 years?
