Is there anyone with AOR November 2019, applied under OINP Human Capital Stream, still waiting to get COPR? I’ve been waiting since November 2019, still no luck.

Mention your internships period in Other activities, you don't need to submit any documents to support these internships.
Thanks Nitin for immediate reply. Also, if you can help me with two more queries please.

1. I got my IQAS equivalency certificate today - for my 2 years 'Masters' in India - it is giving 1 year 'Masters' equivalency in Canada. Does that mean I am eligible to select 'Masters' and claim points for Masters Degree in express entry?

2. If your answer to your first point is 'yes' then - here's my second query - Few weeks back I submitted my OINP application and there I had submitted my WES reports, but now that I have got my IQAS ECA result as Masters, shall I update it on my express entry now?

Hello Everyone,

Fortunately, I have received my ONIP PNP invitation on 13th APR 2021 and I have accepted the invite by filling out the ONIP application, paying CAD $1500. However, there is a challenge where my General IELTS will be getting expired by end of MAY. I wanted to check from this group what will happen next? as I am currently in Canada, Ontario on a Student Visa.

Case -1
Let's assume that ONIP accepts my application soon and I get those 600 points. In subsequent EE PNP draws I receive the invite before my IELTS gets expired. Will there be a challenge in my EE file, which I have to take care of?

Case - 2
Let's assume that ONIP accepts my application within 60 days i.e. post my IELTS expiration in May then will I still be eligible for EE PNP draw in the month of June with those 600 points with expired IELTS? Will I have to re-appear for IELTS?

Case -3
In Case - 2, let's assume I have to appear for IELTS but looking at the current situation there are no IELTS slots available until OCT 2021 in Canada, then what should be done here so that I don’t miss out on this opportunity. What shall I do in this case?

Case-4
How long are the 600 points valid from the OINP? If I re-appear IELTS late and there is a gap between my expired IELTS & new IELTS score, Will my EE be active in the meantime? Can I update my EE profile to activate it with valid 600 points?

Folks, please guide what are the best possible ways to remain eligible for PR by claiming those 600 points?

Thank you in advance. I would really appreciate your help on this.

1. Yes
2. You should not make any changes. Once your nomination is issued, anyhow you'll receive 600 points.

IQAS ECA report is not required.

Hello everyone! When applying for OINP HCP, do I need to submit work references and proof of payment for all my work experience for the previous 10 years, even for work experience that I do not claim points for? What about self-employed work I'm also not claiming points for? Will my application be rejected if I don't?

Thank you for the response. What happens however if I can't collect all the documents? Are they as strict as Express Entry or more lenient? Is there a possibility it will be approved or not at all?

Listen if you can't show payslips then you need to show bank statement, if you can't get neither then see if you can get a letter which states you were paid monthly in cash from xx date till zz date

Hi, I don’t know the real statistics of success/failure in OINP nomination, I’m currently in the same boat as you (recently received a NOI), but I’m quite positive that if you can not prove your work experience in any of the legal ways it won’t be counted. So you should make everything possible to prove the work experience you stated in your EE (recommendation letters, payslips or any other documents that prove your status in a real organisation). That’s what you are expected to do, otherwise they will not count it, neither in OINP nor in EE. You should ONLY state things you can prove “documentally”
But either way, statistics, that’s what really matter, and that’s the thing I suppose nobody really knows. Perhaps there are situations like yours, when people have no documents supporting their status and still getting their nominations, but that’s very unlikeable (e.g. what stops me from stating false data in my EE)

So as per my understanding, I got invited on 16 Feb and submitted my OINP on 23rd of March and today my file status was changed to assessment, I guess it's totally automated and it gets assigned to the officer in an exactly one month from the day of submission but there was an upload button but I guess they haven't asked me for any ADR yet, how long is it gonna take until they review my profile?

The express entry profile uses months and years to calculate the duration of work experience. If an applicant has 11 months and 2 weeks of work experience, express entry considers it as 12 months already.

Supposedly, an applicant receives the NOI from Ontario while he is yet to complete his 12 months of continuous work experience in primary NOC in few days, what would you suggest in that situation?

1) They can proceed ahead with NOI, create OINP profile and upload the documents on OINP website because by the time they will submit documents, their primary work experience will be a continuous 12 months.

OR

2) They reject NOI by offered by Ontario and wait for next round of OINP draw?

Quick question: are we allowed to not claim points for education or work experience in order to adjust points to fall inside the range eligible for the OINP tech draws? Would this be perceived as wrongful? Please let me know. My spouse and I file jointly, our application scores 474 currently and drops to 460 if I leave out my education, which may allow us to be eligible for the tech draws.

Hi fellow dreamers, I received OINP invitation in last round and I am planning to apply by mid May. Could someone with knowledge help me with regards to Work History section. I worked from mid 2009 till mid 2013, took break/tried to start business but failed, joined corporate world again in late 2017 and employed since then. Overall 7 years of exp. b/w 2174, 2172 NOCs and 4.5 years of gap/unemployed phase - with no effect on CRS score and I am not claiming points for these 4.5 years. Does anyone know if 1.) I should mention this in Other activities as Unemployed, 2.) Explain more in Letter of Explanation, 3.) If it has any negative effect on receiving invitation? Thanks for your time & help

Hey, are they inviting people from outside Canada through OINP Tech draws?
P.S also to receive an OINP through EE profile, one just have to mark Ontario (and other desired provinces) in the initial stages of EE profile or anything else needs to be done too?
Looking forward to response from the forum people.

Regards,
