Honestly, chances not great. But 100% he will not get TRV if he does not apply.

It doesn't cost that much and refusal won't hurt your PR app. And maybe you'll get lucky. You can apply again later.

You can try the other usual support ways - letters, ask MP- you can't travel for work, lockdown at both ends, been separated for ages, family reunification, etc.
Thank you, we will look at trying.

But, does your wife have have strong ties to her current country - work, 6 months savings, home, business...etc. I mean, for my husband he can leave Qatar anytime as he is just there for work.
My wife is there for work, on a long term visa. I figured no harm in trying and providing everything i can to the best of my abilities and the rest is up to IRCC.

Hi All,
my eCAS now says "Application Received", it was "In Process" for the longest time.

What does Application Received mean? Is this AOR2?

I've been reading the interview questions thread and it has me sick to my stomach. Some of these things are so hard to answer when you've never lived together yet.... and some even when you do, a lot of couples don't know. Like who remembers their spouses phone number these days, especially when you're not local...or remember the school they went to or restaurants they like...when they're irrelevant to your spouses country. I'm so worried for the highly likely interrogation. :/
I know this is an older post from a while back, but I wanted to respond to it because I think it’s important to talk about.

While myself and my spouse were never interviewed, we would have been able to answer these types of questions easily. The reason I’m saying this is because as someone who spent many years living apart from my spouse, I cannot stress enough how important it is for a couple to communicate on a regular basis while they’re apart. These are the things you should be talking over with your partner, and it’s a good idea to take advantage of virtual date nights by learning everything you can about your partner or reminding yourself of things you’ve forgotten. That way, if it ever does come to an interview you can answer their questions with confidence and no hesitation.

Communication is absolute key for Outland applicants living apart from their spouses. Even on the days when the timing doesn’t work for long virtual conversations, take five minutes to say hello, goodnight, I love you.

The more you’re in sync with each other, the easier it is to make it through this long journey,

Also, is it true an app was processed in three months? Of so, that’s awesome. I don’t think I’ve seen that since 2019. That’s definitely hopeful for the future!

Yup, thats AOR2, the file has been finally received at PA's VO. Soon the status should go back to In Process and then in some time Decision Made.

I,personally,do not understand people who have issues answering basic family questions. If the relationship is genuine-you know all the answers imo.

Good night
My family sponsor was denied
Can I reapply
Good night. Was the sponsor denied to sponsor? Are you the sponsor or PA? If sponsor was denied, what have he marked in the form, continue with app for PA or withdraw the app?

Some of it can be pressure related, especially when they’re at the interview and freeze because they’re nervous. That’s why the better prepared you are, the less likely you are to freeze. Others have trouble retaining information, which again is why talking with your partner regularly helps to make the information stick.

It’s good for everyone to make a habit of knowing their partner’s hobbies, tastes, background and history, quirks and other things that make them uniquely them. Not just for immigration, but just for a healthy relationship overall.
