People r receiving two option emails.. whether to travel now or do remeds.. both cases they will stamp ur passport and issue a copr (correct me if i am wrong)
But I think the "2 options email" was for 4/7 pointer cases, isnt it ? for this new email that is being triggered, it only mentions issuance of PR Visa and COPR. However will have to wait and watch, no clarity if it would be AL and COPR.

Hi,

Has anyone received passport request or response after selecting "Option 1: Confirm that you plan to travel to Canada before the validity date above."

Thanks

With all this drama of new '2-option' emails, I cannot help but think that IRCC is openly running a scam now.
An agent told me that new applicants and students to Canada are decreasing because they see the backlog. So now IRCC has come up with a new way of showing that they are working on things. Just another way of minting money from new applicants while the existing ones rot, expire and disappear into oblivion :(

Has anyone received the following email from Sue Day asking to participate in a survey, from Advanis, showing IRCC logo

————-
You have been selected to take part in a Government of Canada survey!

We would like to hear about your experience with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada. Our records indicate that you have recently received a decision from us on an application.

The survey is voluntary and will take about 15 minutes to complete.

————————————————
I did. Did you reply back?

I got this too. Thing to notice here is that they are asking to take a survey as per their records, we seem to have received a decision on our application. Which is pretty strange as the application status has not changed.

Yes at least 3 of us on the forum including me. Replied with option 1 almost 10 days back. Nothing yet.

@Fmegha86 : received this email just half an hour back. did you hear back from IRCC on your respose? Just as a background, details of timelines in signature. I never raised a RTT form, so seems IRCC is proactively contacting expired COPR holders . Curious to know what all process steps needs to be repeated. Medicals seems to be certain. PCC and POF ? may be?
What the HELL is this? I thought cases of expired CoPRs wouldn't be closed because of COVID. What do they mean by "re-assess if you meet the requirements". Does that mean we need to do the language tests all over again? Damn, that's so insane.

Is this email different than the two options email? Anyone knows why they are treating people differently? Is there a trend we can already draw conclusions upon?

I still haven't heard jack s*** about IRCC since my RTT webform in November 2020. CoPR expired in August 2020.

Same here. Looks like eveyone with an expired copr got this? Could anyone else confirm?
I didn't receive any email. Pre-March 18, expired August 2020. Radio silence from IRCC since I received my CoPR. Anyone in same situation as me that hasn't heard back from IRCC?

PS: I proactively renewed the medicals on December 2020. This still hasn't been updated to MyGC Key profile. Also the progress bar on my profile shows "100% complete". Absolutely nothing has been updated there since they issued my CoPR in January 2020.

Here is my observation :

1. Till December, IRCC accepted RTT sent by expired COPR holders. In response, 4/7 pointer emails were received to determine if people could travel with existing medicals being valid. Upon satisfactory answers ALs were issued.
2. Wherever medicals had already expired, IRCC could not issue ALs. (some did upfront medicals and submitted via webform)
3. At start of year 2021, IRCC explicitly requested to not to send any RTT, rather mentioned that they will connect upfront.
4. For above point, people are now receiving the email that I mentioned I received. There are no "2 options" anymore and hence assume this is different.

Anyone agrees to my observations ?
