This is indeed a joke! double standard! How Covid only affects one group of people and not others?
The real reason is some IRCC officers are so lazy and irresponsible that they are not even working from their home. Which they were supposed to do. They are not answerable to anyone that why they took so long to process a particular application.
I am sure these officers have never had the experience of being away from their families for so long. They will never understand what we r going through.

True! I had a high expectation of Canadian Immigration System to be fair and just; but now seeing thousands like me going through the same agony of being away from their family and kids for years makes me sick to my stomach. Of course, I believe a thorough background and criminality check is unequivocally necessary; but this shouldn't take years and put the applicants in a lingering stateless position.

I think Background and Criminality check is base of nationality, My opinion anyway. So nationality are fast and some are slow.

I'm December 2019, Passed Medical this month which was the first update since December 2019, No AOR, nothing until Medical Passed this month.

Next day, we received Pre-Arrival.

Our Family lives separately but very optimistic. It's not easy

March 22, 2019. Started criminality on October 2019 and no updates since. Nothing. Depression, covid and loneliness. I am the sole applicant and thought my file should be relatively easy. Apparently we are third or fourth class applicants. I am so worn out of the flawed logic. Canada prides itself on protecting human rights but when asking why it is taking so long or when could the processing of the file be done, we are given vague answers with no expected deadlines. They have a system in place to deter false asylum claimants from gaining status which completely makes sense. But the highest authority in Canada deemed us worthy of Canada’s protection and Canada in theory fights for those who are vulnerable. Well, we all have gone through terrible shit that’s why we are called refugees. I think we should be getting a little more care. I feel I am being treated with degradation and a face wearing a smile but couldn’t careless about who I am. I am just a file number. I wish there’s was more accountability for those who work in the Immigration. Reduced or critical staff in an emergency though they are working from home. It is so contradictory. Don’t know what I should or who I should turn to for help.

That is very true, we are just a "File Number"- If you cry for help and doomed with depression, anxiety, sleepless etc - nobody cares! Just wait until your caseworker gets in mode (and god knows when) to look into your file!

Your pain is like my pain. All your words describe my situation and the suffering I am going through. I am done! I am dead! 6 years and counting away from my kids! Where are the human rights they are calling for?

That's it, we just hope because there are still a lot of families waiting to get Decision from RAD or Hummanitarian. Although it's sad our families are separated but we just have to remain positive to avoid depression.
