Eligibility is RR(reason was one of my experience letter doesn’t have date, so provided the same in sep 2020 but it’s such a shame that since then officer didn’t get a chance to review it and status is “in the queue for officer to review it”. Security not started.
Whenever I call, agent says all seems good wait for the officer review, we are slow due to covid.
I think IRCC staff should be kept on priority for the vaccination so that they can get back to work and stop playing with our lives.

Are you also CEC-inland as well? I'm in a similar situation where they have not touched the file since June 2020. By the way, if you apply for Bridging Visa based on your pending CEC application, how long did it take for you? Will they also delay the BOWP as well?

I'm also curious if you submit your application for BOWP, isn't that you could simply work as long as it takes for either CEC or BOWP to approve? I saw that you mentioned you can only work until June 2021 when you submitted your BOWP. I thought it allows implied status for as long as it takes, right?

Thanks!

I have a feeling that PnP applicants are put aside. I am in the same situation except for different AOR. None of any officers opens my file. It is ridiculous. I really want to withdraw my application and apply again as a CEC applicant but the long long time I have spent on this application holds me back. I am like in a limbo.

I am FSW inland and PNP. I got my BOWP in a month’s time, however it’s gonna expire in 4 months as my passport is valid until thn. If I will get PR by then it’s good otherwise I will have to apply for BOWP again. It’s crazy, I mean it’s obvious that I will renew my passport upon expiry, hence, IRCC should have give BOWP until it’s validity but I guess they don’t use common sense.
Yeah, it was mentioned until June 2021 in the acknowledgment but I got it until my passport expiry.

True, IRCC doesn’t care about applicant’s future, they are worried about their revenue /goals. I feel like they are using this strategy to generate money as applicants will apply for extensions to remain in status while waiting for PR.

Thanks for your reply! Was it because your passport expires in June 2021 that made them mention the June 2021 in the acknowledgement? I thought that they shouldn't mention any deadline usually because it should be implied status as long as you are waiting for the Bridging right? Otherwise Bridging wouldn't be a bridge if it can go expired before they extend it right? But then apparently common sense/logic isn't their strong suit..

Best of luck!

Hi, no my passport is not expiring in June2021. They mentioned in the acknowledgment that I can stay/ work under same circumstances until June 2021 or BOWP decision whichever earlier. Not sure about the logic behind it. But luckily got it in a month’s time.

That won't help. Even if their website says they r prioritizing CEC applications. I am a CEC applicant with FEb 2020 for and biometrics in Oct 2020. Eligibility passed in April 2020. But no progress after that. Still stuck with security in progress and criminality not yet started.

I am CEC applicant as well. All passed and approved since Aug 2020. But who cares? 420 days since AOR and no COPR.
