Spousal Sponsorship - Citizenship Certificate date of issue

Getting a hold of the immigration office is practically impossible these days, would really appreciate your help guys.

I am applying to sponsor my spouse, in Form IMM1344 question 7 asks about the date of which I obtained my status. I am unable to get to my certificate because I'm out of the country for a while.. I know my CID, I just need to know the date.

Can anyone confirm if the date on the certificate is the day you wrote and passed the exam or if it is the date of the ceremony?

You need a copy of your citizenship certificate. You are not becoming a citizen after the exam or the interview; but after the ceremony. The date is date of the ceremony as you guess.

I don't recall the exact date I received my citizenship unfortunately, been going back in time this past week trying to find the date, can't seem to strike gold, but I do know when I wrote the test...

Do you know how can I get the date without requesting a new certificate, because the process takes 5 months... I can't wait that long...

I tried calling the IRCC Toll Free everyday the past week, 5 times a day, they won't put me through an agent. It's so frustrating.

The date is exactly the date you sworn as Canadian citizen. Check your e-mail and you will see the date of the invite if you did not delete it.
The main thing is without a copy of the certificate, your file file will be returned for sure. To claim as Canadian citizen, you have to submit the proof.
Check the control list to see if you could have an alternative to citizenship certificate. Even if I don't see any alternative to it but RP has.

I just double checked supporting documents for status in Canada, if I submit a photocopy of the first 4 pages of my passport, that's sufficient proof of my citizenship status.
