That's good to know. So how long does the 1 year expired checks take to re-do them again? The agent told me that IRCC has the right to recheck everything until the oath. I am not sure if it is true. But again the security check valid for 4 years is a bit long (what if someone does something after security clearance, but before oath, do they still get citizenship? I guess no one knows. :)

We also have to think about COVID work arounds. The timelines are for normal processing time and normal era, we are in extra ordinary circumstances :D.
They can extend the validity of criminality checks as well.

I agree that they definitely do have the right to check anything. Who knows what happens in between, it's all their internal processes. According to my GCMS notes from a year ago (before COVID and test invitation), the criminality checks from request to completion took less than a minute; but all the security details are redacted to respect the Privacy Act. In a word, we just need to wait it out until they notify us of anything.

Oath invitations seem to be halted across all offices. I haven't seen people posting anything about oaths for a while now, nothing here and nothing in the Facebook groups.
Do you think it might be because, they want to do mass oath in-person ceremonies (like 300 to 400 at a time) since slowly everything is opening up and people are getting vaccinated? Might they be creating a huge test completed pool ready for these ceremonies in Summer? Fingers crossed.

No one knows when physical gatherings will be allowed if you are referring to them so making a pool doesn't make any sense when they are already doing it online is smaller groups so thats definately not the case . Its correct that news regarding oaths have stopped coming recently . No idea whats going on over there.

Well, according to Ontario health news recently, they are planning to administer 8 to 10 million doses by June/July timeframe, that includes all eligible persons. So we are not far from mass gatherings allowed for all vaccinated people, and already GTA is slowly moving to gray zone. If we think, it makes sense from IRCC perceptive to get ready a big pool of oath ready candidates. Anyway, no one knows for sure what happens next. Let's hope we all get it as soon as possible. Good luck to all.

I heard that they won't be doing anymore oaths in Scarborough office (and maybe others too) after the scheduled oaths in early march wrap up and they will resume some time in April.
