Canadian Experience Class applications
We’re working at full capacity to process applications.

You may experience delays because we have a backlog of applications due to COVID-19.

We’re currently finalizing most applications we received between
May 17 and 23, 2020
?
If your application is complex, it may take us longer to process it.

What is a complex permanent residence application?
If your application is complex, it may take us longer than normal processing times to process your application.
Your application may be more complex if:
  • the contact information on file (address, telephone, email) is outdated and we can’t contact you or a family member
  • we requested more documents and they weren’t submitted on time, or at all
  • your dependant(s) turned 18 since you applied
  • you added dependant(s) to your application since you applied
  • your dependant(s) got married and/or had children of their own since you applied
  • you provided legal documents to confirm a change to your marital status, or about child custody
  • you or your family member were asked to resubmit a medical exam because one expired (exams for every person must all be valid at the same time)
  • you or a family member were asked to appear for an interview
  • you or a family member might not be eligible
  • background checks are still in progress for you or your family members

My background check is in progress (Criminality in Progress & Security not started); so I guess even though I am 19th May AOR, mine is complex application & will take them longer to process.

Am I getting this right?

Hello, My application was approved on February 20, 2020 and on my CIC Profile it says Your application is Approved and I can also see the Copr document number starting with T.
but I still have not received my COPR document.

Timeline
AOR: June 30, 2020
Medical Passed: August 21, 2020
Biometrics: October 14, 2020
Final Decision: February 20,2020
"Your application was approved."
I can see COPR document number starting with T.

But No eCOPR document yet. No other emails or information.
Anyone else on same boat?
Same here, got approved on Feb. 26, have COPR number as well but still not seeing any COPR email or message box in cic account.

I just called CIC, and officer said he is going to message my local visa office i.e. Toronto.
He also said they should have sent it by now. Do you know your local visa office?

Just called in the IRCC agent and they said the Etobicoke office sent it out on March 3rd... but I got nothing so the agent sends the request to Etobicoke to ask for resending it. Hopefully to get it sooooooon

They update it weekly now apparently. But in my view, it is still a show business, trying to convince us that they are working harder and being more transparent. But the thing is the last one (BG checks are still in progress) is still very vague and did not tell us anything about how complex our applications are compared to those approved. Also I think most of us do not have the complex situations listed above the last one.

I recieved my GCMS note as stated below;

Document#:T603xxxxx
Document: COPR / CRP
Status: Not Started
Valid To: 2021/09/19
Print Queue: PQ-DOC-1129-2
Status Updated By: RC-9515
Status Updated Date: 2021/01/08 09:34:48
Assigned To: RK6165
Assigned By: RC-9515
Due Date: 2021/01/08

From the looks of it, it has been approved since January, but I dont have a COPR email or approval on the portal. I am also not sure where my"Print Queue: PQ-DOC-1129-2" is. the call center just tell me to wait but I have list patience since my ARO was April 4th. What do you think I should do? Contact the MP? Do I contact my local office or Primary Office: CPC-Ottawa ? I am also CEC inland
This printing Q part confuses me too. How hard to print/send a piece of paper since these applications have been approved. Buy more machines or hire more staff!

Im talking consider my situation as i know about my travel history and criminal record where there is limited travel to backhome once every year and couple of trips to US even the border officers recignize me because of how frequent i travel...but besides that my case is straight forward...officer not touching the file for months which shows criminality in progress doesnt mean it is complex...so not all the files having criminality in progress for long can be complex...if tge officers doesnt respond to the updates on file and leave it pending how does he knew if its complex or not without assessing it... as you said its just to show that they are working harder...

Your points about duration vs activity are very valid. My criminality phase was in progress right from the R10 check, they did infosharing within a day and closed that well before eligibility. Then the status for criminality stayed open all the way from late june to december but they weren't actually processing anything in there because the PCCs etc were reviewed during eligibility, it was just waiting for biometrics to be possible (that happened in october) then waiting in queue to be picked up for them to be reviewed which happened in december.

My security was also passed the same day that eligibility passed. My country of origin is probably a red flagged one although i haven't been there since i left as a child. But my travel section had over 75 rows in it, and I've lived for long periods in multiple countries. My security is nowhere near as simple/straightforward as most people, and yet it was done in 24 hours.

Exactly unless if the applicant have any criminal record it wont take this long even if there is a lot of travel history...my eligibility was done in 1day based on gcms notes aug5th since then waiting for bio criminality in progress amd security is blank once in nov submitted bio security passed righy away and no movement in criminality...
