Hi Guys,
I need your input.
My Timeline
1. AOR: October 30
At the time of applying, I did not have the diploma and I had submitted a completion letter and transcript. In my LOE, I had also submitted sufficient grounds as to the missing diploma. Previously, in January, when I called IRCC to check the status, the agent told me that my file is in Sydney and there is a note in the file saying the diploma is missing and I have since raised 2 web forms from January with my diploma.
Yesterday, I called IRCC and the agent told me that nothing has started on my file. He told me that the file is in Ottawa and everything looks good. However, I was told that they received no web form and I should refrain from sending a new one as there is a backlog due to Covid. He then told me that there has been no update on my file up until now. Not even medicals have been processed. What do you guys think?

1. You need to submit the diploma with your ITA. It is clear in the rules. Its unfair for other applicants that you are able to send an application, while others have to wait to the diploma. Similar to the work experience. 12 months is 12 months. Not when you have 11, and going to have 12. Its at the officer discretion to accept it or not.

2. You can request GCMS notes to verify what or where is your application.

again, my understanding is that you funds, or the letter proving your funds, is too old.

1. I am a class of 2020 and in Canada, due to Covid, our convocation was canceled. It was only in November that they resumed issuing a diploma. Also, due to Covid, it is a guideline that the application will not be rejected due to a missing document.

My question is, is there anyone else who has not yet received ANY update on the application. NOT EVEN MEDICALS although 4 months have elapsed?

before I would say that yeah its strange, but in 2020 and 2021 I would not be so surprised. Especially because the account is so glitchy, and not updated.

The best you can do is:

1. Call IRCC
2. Request two type of notes. 1. notes on the documents you submitted, and communications (it will include your web forms they have, so you know actually if they got your webforms). 2. notes on the officer, if any. It will give you in what stage is your application, if medical are passed, when was last time someone opened your file, etc.
