Some GCMS notes are delayed. The legislation allows for extensions when the response requires internal or external consultations, additional review time due to large amount of records, or when the review could interfere with Service operations.
You are right, but considering the perfectly normal amount of data in the notes, I have the impression that extensions are used routinely to ease the load on the agents. It looks like lately delayed notes are the norm rather than the exception.

Thank you for the link. It is interesting information. It also show what a poor job they are doing in communicating effectively with the applicants. There would be way less notes requests if the information about eligibility, criminality and security was actually up to date on the portal.
IRCC aim is to welcome new immigrants at a rate of around 1 per cent of the population, which would mean 401,000 permanent residents in 2021, 411,000 in 2022, and 421,000 in 2023.

And how they are going, there will be more delays everywhere.

Extension of medicals :
It appears that our medicals ,which expired a month ago, have now been extended. We see a message "Review of medical results - February 22, 2021:You passed the medical exam. "

We sent medical results to IRCC on 31-DEC-2019 and our earlier date of MEP was 29-JAN-20.

I think candidates with similar timelines may receive such updates.

Thanks.

IRCC will request re-medical if required. You can get it done on your own accord, but if your spouse is non-accompanying, let IRCC decide if they need it or not.

Most likely they will not.
Non accompanying spouse need not give medicals again as medical admissibility is only checked when application is filed. If Immigration Medical Examination is needed again IRCC will send you instructions.
Good to hear ... His re-medical ( if IRCC asks again) would cost us a huge amount . We do not have a panel physician in our city.

I received my GMCS notes yesterday. But all the information was generated 120 days back around when I applied. Why would they generate it and not send it for 120 days. Info from notes seems to be old compared to the one provided by the agent through call.

I think they "freeze" the notes content when they start collecting them, but I cannot guarantee that this is what actually happens.

You are somehow lucky as your application seems to be moving. My notes were generated in early November and the status is the same according to a call I had two days back...

Hello all, this might be a little off topic. I am 8th Jan 2020 AOR and i read something very disturbing earlier on another forum. A person mentioned that if IRCC does not shed the load off by clearing backlog, they might have to return the applications and refund the fee to applicants. It was mentioned that it was once done back in 2004 as well. Can someone shed some light on this? I hope that is not the case because ever since i have read this, My anxiety level have hit the sky. Thanks in advance.

I advice you stay away from such untruthful rumors to keep your 'anxiety level' in check... There is no truth in this.

I would be switching job from 1st March, 2021. Should I inform IRCC about this?

Currently I am under comprehensive security screening
