Wow it’s crazy how these law firms squeeze the money out of clients during this pandemic from Their client
It’s very sad
Isn't it!!! Taking advantage of ppl unbelievable!
But really an address she can do it with a phone call or basic info.
Further she /he will have to unfortunately. Especially some lawyers get pissed if they were not informed or involved lol ( money talks)
I inform my lawyer with everything CSQ I applied on my own but of course I sent her copies of everything.

Hello,
Please I have a question, can someone send an update directly to immigration to update its H & C application even if you have a representative? The retainership from my lawyer states you can not send anything to immigration without their office. Does it have any negative impact on my application if I send update by myself?
I want to send by self because the cost to update each time is adding up. Thank you.
If you send updates by yourself, it may violate the agreement between you and your lawyer. Sending updates by yourself for your application does not negatively affect your process but you have agreement with your lawyer so it best you use your lawyer or remove the lawyer as your representative

You can send updates at reasonable times. That’s what the Weform is there for. Some lawyers say that to cash out from clients and some of them genuinely want to make sure it won’t impede the success of your application but in most cases,it’s to cash out.My old lawyer used to do that but I didn’t listen..lol because I realized I was his cash cow.If updates would cost more, just send it yourself if not,let your lawyer do so

Hi there
Yes you can
Update is always beneficial as long you strong support letters or evidence
For example if you change address or have new born baby family and friends coworkers letters and pictures etc

do you know what office your application is processing
@Ayanna, thanks so much for your prompt response and all your efforts to help people on this forum, God bless you.
Based on the last enclosure I requested from my lawyer for the last update, the address on it is; Humanitarian Migration Vancouver. #600-605 Robson Street, Vancouver, B.C V6B 5.

What do you mean the cost keeps adding? Does your lawyer ask you for cash everytime she /he updates for you!
May god help you then!
Well,I used to update sometimes especially when I changed the apartment that's so important to inform the immigration with. As long as you know exactly how to do it.
Yes, for every update there is charge.

Congratulations! But 14K though  That’s crazy! The good thing is you got a return on your investment!:D
I agreed the cost is little high overall that includes work permit/visitor extension/H&C till PR, but just let to you know CCB for 6 months is over $8000 if you`re on low income, hiring a lawyer with low fee and keeping an application on hold for another 6 months make no difference. End of the day it will be same thing
