Hi,

Did anyone travel from US to Canada through air and came back after 14 day quarantine.
I am planning to travel in the next week and take a flight back after the 14 day quarantine (17 day after the current rule)

@crackMBA , @whyCorona are you aware any people?
Regards
Vivek
There are few in this thread who have done it but with new measures it is not recommended. Rest is up to you as I believe there are people who are still doing soft landing.

Your 3 days at hotel are included in 14 days of quarantine. If someone is found negative then he/she needs to quarantine for remaining 11 days at their quarantine stay mentioned in ArriveCan app. So it's still 14 days and not 17 days.

Has anybody tried calling American Express Global Business Travel at 1-800-294-8253 to check prices? They stated that prices vary depending on the location.

Considering the updated on the thread and other forums, it appears very few AL/PPR request are released by IRCCin last 2-3 weeks.
Looks like deliberately pace got slowed down which was much higher between 15 dec to 20 Jan.

Hi,

Both my wife and I were issued COPRs before 18th Mar 2020, however we were blessed with a baby in Jun 2020 and she got her COPR on 15th Feb 2021 along with re-stampings for us which is valid till Sep 2021 (Medicals expiry for us). I wanted to check if all 3 of us can travel together or only my wife and I are exempted considering my daughter would 'technically' come in post 18th Mar 2020 pool?

Hi guys,

My spouse and my COPRs were expired on Jan 29 2021 (issued after March 18).
Sent several webforms and received remed request on Feb 6 -- Finished and got my medical passed last week.

Wanted to know what are the next steps for us?
Is remed request a good sign to receive COPR extensions, or should I request for an AL from IRCC ?

Thanks!!
Glad that they finally consider post march people, did you send webforms before or after expiry? and please tell us what did you tell them in these webforms? our COPRs will expire 12 march.Thank you for sharing!

I think that you may travell, they can't deny a baby at borders. But you can call them and ask, or send a webform.

Can someone please define the words 'non-essential and essential' in the language of Canadian travel restrictions? If you are exempted to travel, doesn't it mean that your travel purpose is essential? I am asking this because 3 day hotel quarantine rule is for non essential travelers.
''People who travel by air for non-essential reasons, such as vacation, will face new measures and expenses when they return to Canada.''

We are in the same situation(copr after March). But we want to pass medical examination in March as they gave us 90 days. Please inform us when you get new visa!!!

Hello guys,

I'm really happy to see a lot of people have started getting AL automatically in their GC Key account. Some of them have even got Passport Request.

If someone can help understand what should I do in current scenario, would really appreciate it.

- CoPR issued November,2019
- CoPR expired April, 2020
- Raised multiple web forms stating that me and my wife are ready to travel and always got the generic response. (Raised one yesterday, again)
- Never got a 4 pointer mail.
- No re-medicals request ever came through.
- Just the 'latest update' section on the application page in GC key account keeps changing.
- Basically it has been complete Radio Silence for us.

Please help if you can.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Similiar situation here.

- CoPR issued October,2019
- CoPR expired March, 2020
- Raised multiple web forms stating that I'm ready to travel.
- Never got a 4 pointer mail, I've just got the generic ones.
- No re-medicals request ever came through.
- Just the 'latest update' section on the application page in GC key account keeps changing.
- It has been a complete Radio Silence for me as well.

Sad reality!

Essential travel is job-related. For instance truck drivers, health care workers, commercial pilots, people who work in the oil industry, etc. They are also exempt from mandatory quarantine. They do not need to provide proof of a scheduled quarantine plan or perform the PCR test. Anybody else is considered non-essential. Some non-essential visitors such as people who have close relatives, and\or coming directly from the U.S whose purpose is to establish residency can also enter Canada. But unlike essential travelers, they have to undergo the PCR test 72hr before boarding their airplane/start their journey by car, test for Covid-19 upon arrival at the port of entry, stay at a designated hotel for a maximum of a 3-day period until they receive their test result, and lastly, quarantine for 14 days.

I am also in the same boat. Only the latest update section keeps changing. Nothing else
