For paper based applicants they may see the following in their GCMS notes related to the Security Screening stage; "Ready for PS" or "PS Review" where PS refers to Paper ScreeningHi all, after AOR, directly tons of updates happened on July 24 2020. Thorough notes were added by the Sydney office on July 24. Location was updated to : PS-Review. Very contradicting info on the internet on what it means? Anyone has any idea? Just curious...

PS = Pending Security ? Makes more sense and less sense at the same time -->. But what does PS-review mean in this case and why have 7 months passed and no one reviewed? And also why does it say Security not started if this says pending security. Most importantly, why does it show under location?
Does PS actually mean some physical location of a case processing center? Anyone? Especially OINP guys?

Ok paper means Paper PR. Thanks and hope its true. If so, then why the GCMS says security not started. On the other hand it says PS review. Aren't they contradicting?

I didn’t get pal. On my profile, it shows background checking is on process.

I don't think your work permit will interfere with your PR application, since you can apply for PR from outside Canada. What might interfere is the fact that you applied under PNP and you didn't clarify which stream was that. If your stream required you to have a qualified job in order to get the nomination then I would say that you need a work permit and a qualified job in order to still qualify for PR. Again, your lawyer should know better.
