I don't know if there is someone with the same situation like me. I am the principal applicant inside Canada my PR application was approve last year May 2020. Recently I also received my PR card. However my dependent (my husband)who is outside Canada did not receive his COPR and passport request. I send a lot of web forms to CIC but always generic answer. They said up to now my husband's application is on process and no landing right now because of COVID. I ordered GCMS notes and I saw his COPR and visa but they did not finalize it and did not send to us. I dont know until when we have to wait.

From what I understand they are holding off on issuing any COPRs for any outland applicants because of travel restrictions. There are people outside of Canada who have their applications approved but IRCC has not issued their COPRs yet.

All we can do now is wait until the travel restrictions ease down.

I haven't seen my wife for one year and I can tell you it's super frustrating.
IRCC should prioritize Express entry applicants with outland dependents - just like they are prioritizing spousal applications.

Hi All, I am PR applicant currently in Canada. My family is in India. MY Biometrics is with CIC but My spouse required to submit Biometrics
Whenever I am trying to enter PR application number to get appointment on VFS India, getting message that VFS is allowing limited application.
VFS is not confirming Biometrics appointment date for my spouse.
It is more than 10 months I am waiting for my PR.

Do anyone also facing same issue?
Do there is any news when VFS will allow Biometrics of PR applicants family members.
Please respond if possible.

wow! 3 years! Can't even imagine! :(

Write that in the web-form! Call them! Tell the agent that you haven't seen your husband in 3 years. They make notes from every call that are visible to the Immigration officer assessing your file

That's correct. A lot of folks have been waiting to give biometrics in India. I've also seen folks going to Dubai to just give biometrics (IMAGINE!). I am not saying that you should go but people are doing it out of desperation!

Hi Everyone, I gave my biometric today in Canada (inland). Spouse is in India (outland) and the VFS is not providing appointment there. Is waiting the only option here? It will be very difficult for my spouse to travel to Dubai or Nepal to get the biometric done as I see some people are doing. Thanks for your reply

Sorry about that...in my own case, my Outland dependent (daughter) PPR was issued first Oct 28 and my CoPR was held. I just got PR almost 2 weeks ago and waiting for my daughters visa to be issued. Keep trying to reach them, I wish you all the best.

18 months since we last met in our case. Aor October 2019. It all has become a real mental torture. No certainty when this will end.

How I understand you! I have been without my loved ones for more than 2 years and shortly visited them last time 22 months ago. This is so terrible and never was anticipated by us. Canada does not treat such cases as family re-unification. Until you receive PR status or citizenship you are nobody here and nobody cares about your personal troubles.

This is so true, and the most frustrating thing is that they have already taken our money and yet they can’t even stick up to their words, not even acknowledging our cases. They’re literally taking advantage of us.

They invited CEC candidates with the lowest score in history 75 points. That means everyone in Canada that was in the pool during this time got invited and yet they can’t finalize our applications this is ridiculous

Since they are holding our files on the final decision for PR as our dependent are in outland on the name of COVID, can we apply for Visitor or work permit for the spouse so they can come here?
