PGWP now can be extended. Can I apply for it?

I’m wondering if this would apply to me at all. My PGWP will expire in May 2022, would I still be able to apply now or if not when could I apply for the extension? Currently, I don't have a job

Unfortunately you do not qualify under the policy.

Under the current rules you cannot apply for an extension. If you look at the policy announcement, you'll see that you need to meet specific criteria in order to qualify for the extension. Unfortunately your situation does not meet this criteria because your PGWP is still valid into 2022.

It's possible IRCC may extend the dates on the policy in a way that allows you to apply. But of course far from guaranteed and none of us here can say if that will happen.

Could you send me the link to see the policy please? I can't find it anywhere on the website. According to the policy, the extension is only available in this year, am I correct?
