why don't you book a direct flight to be on the safer side? Yesterday my friend who was planning to board the Qatar airways flight was denied boarding and at the last moment, he was forced to booked air Canada premium economy ticket for 1.13 lakhs.
What was the reason . Why he denied. Lot of students travelled through qatar airways

Have you booked your flight already?
I'm from Bangalore as well and I've opted the same for 6th of feb and worried if that's an issue.
I have contacted both frankfurt air port and airport police department I got a reply like these "

Good morning,
From the local point of view there are no objections to a stay in the transit area, if you have this visa. For INDIAN citizens there is a transit visa needed or the possession of a Canadian/American/Irish/British visa or residence permit exempts the holder from the need of a transit visa.
Unfortunately, due to the current strict entry requirements for Germany, you are not allowed to leave the transit area, also not for an overnight stay in a hotel in the public area.
Please get in contact with your airline before you start your journey to organize the pick up and Check-In of your luggage after arrival in FRA, if necessary.
You could stay the night at the transit hotel „My Cloud” (https://www.mycloud.de/de/startseite/), located in Terminal 1.

Moreover the operator of the airport (FRAPORT) provides care for transit passengers at the "Canada-Lounge”, located in Terminal 1, concourse “B”.

If you would like to use this service, you should contact my colleagues performing the entry control . They will forward you to the "Canada-Lounge”, that is currently operated by the members of FRAPORT.

Thanks for the info. It was a bit worrisome as I heard that the air bubble agreement was put on hold between India and Germany due to reasons related to connecting flight.
Can I know when are you travelling and from where?

I recently made this journey. Everything was very smooth. Lufthansa employees check your docs before issuing the boarding pass. Once that was done there is no more cross-checking anywhere.

Hey @dishpan142 , thanks for sharing. If you don't mind, were you a holder of cdn visa or pr, citizen? Also, did they require you to show negative PCR test? Thank you, appreciate your help.

Please do let me know.
Thanks in advance and have a safe flight :)
I am not flying, I have flown before via Lufthansa. So,know their process. This time my nephew was going on Student visa. Aircanada, via Frankfurt, operated by Lufthansa. I was helping him step by step so stayed close to the process. Same 3hr layover at Germany,Frankfurt airport. So, Bangalore to Frankfurt to Toronto. Simple questions at Canada border, ike why u r going, what is your course studies, showed Covid test negative result report that was taken 72 hours before departure from BLR. He also had ArriveCAN app which they have to use to report health for next 14days of quarantine. They asked where he is staying, is it shared and has access to food and medicine. He is in a rental townhome. So private bedroom with shared bathroom. All okay and process completed in 15mins!!

Yes, no issues. It was a flight change from one gate to another gate at same airport. Just security check before boarding next plane.

No issues. He just had to change the flight from one gate to another gate at Frankfurt, he had to finish security check in, which is the usual and show the covid result copy again before boarding for Toronto flight.
