Hi All, need a quick advise.
I am planning to move homes/address, same city just a different area.
Do I have to inform IRCC?
If so, is that through the webform?
I am waiting for the AL to be issued after medicals. So will it add anymore delays?
Consequences if I don't let IRCC know?

Hello @crackMBA

I received an email on 16th Jan 2020 regarding my upfront medicals that I did on 16th Dec 2020 before receiving the request from IRCC.

Good day,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

We are pleased to confirm reception of the document(s).

We have forwarded them to the responsible office for their consideration.

I also got my Medicals done gain with the IME number (IMM 1017E) on 13th Jan ..

So which medicals would be updated faster in the system?

Also I got a Request Letter asking For IMM 5669E Schedule A. Is this a step towards PR?
I am not sure. This seems to be too confusing. Did you already have PR before?

IRCC always wants you to update information whenever there is a change but if its just a small change then its fine. I think it is only for PCC otherwise I have not seen any significance of address. I do not think it is required but its your call.

Hello,

I called the IRCC customer care and mentioned the change in address, they updated it.

However, check it again after a week by call (IRCC systems are a bit funky), one of my friends received mail to the old address. If you are in Canada, you can forward your mail to your new address (through Canadapost for a fee).

Hi there.. My COPR was issued before 18 March and it got expired in July 2020. Now I am ready to travel but I am not suppose to raise a ready to travel web form. I was wondering is there someone here who is in same boat as me and got contacted by IRCC asking if they are ready to travel post post 23 Dec. Thanks
I am in the same boat as you, my CoPR expired on August 1st. I am waiting IRCC email. I heard of one case who received already and his was expired on May 5th, so perhaps they are using the expiry date as criterion? Just a guess...

Hi All,
Firstly, thanks to everyone who is providing feedback and help to support the community here. Great work!
I have been through this thread (as much as I could) and thought will post for my brother.
My brother has received his COPR document on 24/12/2020 with a Passport stamped with PR Entry Visa which is expiring on 19/03/2021, which is also the date of expiry of his Medical.
He is Pakistan based.
What I am wanting to know is: from reading the comments above, is he allowed to travel to Canada? He is not on the exemption list.
If not, do we have to apply for an extension of this visa expiry or would this visa be automatically extended? Would he be required to undergo medical again?
Let me know if there is any information you need before anyone can advise.
Thanks
Haddy

I had received a notification/regret email. It read as below : -
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada in regard to your application for permanent residence (PR).

Based on our assessment of your recent enquiry, we regret to inform you that we cannot process your request to issue a new confirmation of PR document and PR visa at this time; you have not demonstrated that you meet the exemption criteria. As a reminder, the travel restrictions were implemented to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID‑19) in Canada.

The Immigration Medical Exam (IME) results for you or a dependent family member have expired. It is not possible for IRCC to extend the validity of your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CRDP) and Permanent Resident Visa (VRP) when the IME results have expired.

Rest assured that your application will remain open and be put on hold until after the travel restriction pause is lifted or until you demonstrate that you meet the exemption criteria mentioned above. You will have to submit the new information via our webform.

Even I received the same email. But did not do remedicals yet. Could you please tell me what are the documents you submitted in the hospital? We are also planning to go for remedicals. What is the update in your GC key account?

I went to Max hospital (Mohali) for my remedical and surprisingly they didn't ask for any document other than passport though I told them while taking appointment that it is my remedical. Although I took copy of all the documents with me on the day of my medical.

My gckey now has two counterfoil details the expired one plus the new one. Also the review of eligibility and final decision were updated with today's date on it.
