Yes. I got a request in the last week of December.did they ask for your re-medical?
I got a re-medicals request myself and passed it on 6 Jan 2021, but no communication since.Hi,
We have been asked today for re meds. Anyone here who has got PPR in 2021 post the request for re-meds. @legalfalcon - would appreciate, if you could share what does this update means. Is it a ray of hope that post remeds we can expect are PPR request soon.
Note- we earlier had medicals done only for me (Primary Applicant) and my husband, however in the request for Remeds- the three of us have to get our medicals done.

As per law, your medicals have to be valid when you land. If your medicals were expired or were expiring, IRCC can ask you for a re-med. Usually IRCC will send the meds for re-assesment to the regional medical officer who makes a determination on whether to extend or ask for re-med. The max extension that is usually given is 6 months. However, if the likelihood of your application being approved and you landing within 6 months is slim due to the travel restrictions, then IRCC can ask for a re-med and upon re-med your medicals will be valid for 1 year.Hi,

Same on my profile. Possibly they are updating something on the website.Hi folks,
Anyone checked their profile today?
I'm seeing the page updated a little bit:
- the "20% of applications take longer than usual blabla" - is gone
- the 100% progress bar - also gone
Wondering if that means anything :/

Exactly!!Same on my profile. Possibly they are updating something on the website.
All of us are so tired of waiting that now every little change on the website interests us! xD!
As Legal Falcon says, I dont have any hope of landing in the next 6 months because I just passed the medical and now I am open to land till Jan 2022. Seems they think my profile will take more than 6 months to finalize which is they didnt give me an extension...Exactly!!
This probably means nothing, just some site UI update..
Unbelievable...As Legal Falcon says, I dont have any hope of landing in the next 6 months because I just passed the medical and now I am open to land till Jan 2022. Seems they think my profile will take more than 6 months to finalize which is they didnt give me an extension...
SAD
Hey thanks for sharing. All we can do is wait and be hopeful of receiving the golden email soon. While the odds are quite high however looking at the decline in COVID cases in India and in Canada I’m positive that we all shall receive the much awaited PPR.I got a re-medicals request myself and passed it on 6 Jan 2021, but no communication since.
Do you think they will be granting PPRs in Q1? I dont see the travel ban lifting before they vaccinate.
What do you think?
Thanks for the insights, appreciate your response @legalfalcon. Seems like they don’t want us to land soon.As per law, your medicals have to be valid when you land. If your medicals were expired or were expiring, IRCC can ask you for a re-med. Dont give up!!Unbelievable...
Guess I'll receive as well a request for re-medicals since they expired in October 2020 :|
Just another way to get some money from us and give us false expectations.
I honestly dunno if I should redo the meds or just give up with this charade.
