Is there anyone who eligibility is stuck at Recommended passed and recently passed?

For me almost 5 months, eligibility is stuck at recommended passed and due to this security not started.

Rest everything is passed, even info sharing.

Not sure, why eligibility is not moving.

Hello, I'm in the same boat, but my "recommended passed" lasts from 07.07.20

Yes, same for me. From July onwards.

Ok seems, there was a hard stop due to some reason. Hope it will restart soon.

Hi there.
I am silent admirer of this group and yours. Thanks for all your help. Help me out this situation?
I am Inland CEC applicant with an outland (India) spouse on the application. My AOR is March 22, 2020. I am done with biometrics but my wife’s still pending. GCMS notes says officer: recommended pass. My Open Work Permit expires July 26,2021. I am planning to fly back home to meet family. But I am concerned what if I go and then Canada goes into border lockdown. My question is
1. Should I apply BOWP and then fly home so that even if I get stuck backhome I still will be able to come back (If somebody brings me Work Permit or what about TRV on passport) Do they process BOWP if applicant travel and work from abroad. Or does not work.

2. Does it effect my PR application if a) I am in canada or not. b) If my work permit is valid or not c) If I get stuck back home and doesn’t have Work permit extended d) Got BOWP approved somehow but no TRV

3. When the earliest I can apply for BOWP. 26 Feb is when 4 months window starts. May B i fly back home right now and come back around March and apply. Or I can apply right now. as in 6 months before.

4. Whats the best scenario should I follow to also be able to go home as soon as possible but also avoid risking my PR application.

1. You can only apply for BOWP when you are in Canada physically and live in Canada. Also, to reenter Canada you will need a valid visa. To be eligible for BOWP you have to meet the following:

  • live in Canada (Quebec not included)
  • have a valid work permit that expires in 4 months or less
  • be the principal applicant on your permanent residence application
  • have submitted a complete application for permanent residence and passed the completeness check
  • have your acknowledgement of receipt letter
    • we send this letter to your account after we get your permanent residence application
2. Your PR application has no bearing whether you are in Canada or not. If you change your country of residence, you will have to inform IRCC and update your address.

3. See 1.

4. As mentioned above, your BOWP has no bearing on the PR. However, you get your BOWP and then you can travel.

Hi there,

I'm a CEC Inland applicant with the following details:
AOR: Mar 3, 2020
Medicals Passed: Mar 10, 2020
Biometrics Request: Mar 10, 2020
Biometrics Completed: Oct 22, 2020

I spoke only once in Nov & the call center agent said everything looks good & eligibility is passed, biometrics not yet taken. There is no news yet.

Now my question is, is it worth to create a group petition of those waiting for more than 10 months and write to Minister Marco Mendicino? Let me know please.

Mine is 13th March aor, biometrics for dependant done on October 22nd 2020, biometrics for myself completed on Nov 6th 2020. From this date, I have been calling to IRCC every week. Its same response, someone has to validate the biometrics. As per posts in this forum, I am assuming IRCC would have created seperate pool for feb, march april and may candidates and would be approving 1 or 2 applications per week. For applications submitted after may 2020, they would be prioritizing to meet there SLAs (6 month completion). Not sure, how many months it go like that but I agree with you. If we have some sort of channel where we can provide our concerns to government or IRCC higher officials then everyone who is waiting for long will get finalized..

At this stage, not. As per the IRCC annual report, the average time for a CEC application was 7 months. This was pre-COVID. However, with the current stringent lockdowns and COVID, there will be delays. But in my opinion, it is too early to file a petition.

How long did it take to process an Express Entry application?
Table 35 displays the time, in months, that IRCC took to process 80% of applications under each program. In 2019, IRCC did not meet the processing standard of finalizing 80% of all applications sourced via Express Entry within six months. The processing time for Express Entry, overall, was eight months. As an alternative measure of processing times, 60% of applications finalized in the 12-month period ending on December 31, 2019, were completed within the six-month service standard.

Data is operational and as such should be considered preliminary and subject to change.

  • Processing times refer to the time in which 80% of applications were finalized by IRCC. The processing time is measured from the day a complete application is received until the time a final decision is made by an immigration officer.

I called IRCC too and they cleared some doubts.
What if I travel and no lockdowns were their. I have a valid visa and trv until june 26. and I planned to come back in March. Meanwhile my CEC PR application gets approved. Will I be able to enter back to canada based on my existing valid trv or they will invalidate it rightaway?
Basically coming back. Confirmation of PR and Previous work permit and trv will be enough or I strictly have to go down PRTD road. Please clear this. @legalfalcon

You have to provide some context, Travel where? from Canada to another country?
