quick simple question , I got my COPR after Mar and its still valid , my brother is living in Canada as Perminant residence .
can i request from IRCC the AL under the extended family category which is
he 6 step process in the following link

You can request an AL with your COPR. However, if you have a dependent spouse and children in your application, they will not be able to get Al, as they are not immediate family members.

Congratulations, I have received the AL but it's bit different than you.

You must carry a copy of this letter along with your passport as proof of your
authorization to travel to Canada.

At this time, we are not printing and mailing new CoPRs or PR visa counterfoils. For your travel
to Canada, you will need to:
 bring this letter; <-----I don't have words " along with your original CoPR and PR visa" similer to your letter. May be because I was never passport submission request letter to get my passport stamp.
 show it to the airline as proof that you are exempt from the travel restriction and that
your COPR and PR visa are valid; and, <-- this line is also bit different than yours
 use this letter before 2021/09/15


also, can you please advise when was your GC key got update. I am unable to login into mycic account since I received the AL. I am getting bad gateway error.

Please demonstrate a well organised plan for quarantine and not just screenshots of your AirBnB. I would pick a date to travel and propose the things accordingly. If you are going with Airbnb then make sure to have some email exchanges with the owner and arrangement of food and groceries. As per new guidelines, IRCC will strictly review the quarantine plan:

Q. What extra measures has the Canada Borders Services Agency (CBSA) put in place?

A. The CBSA enhanced its presence at airports to observe travellers and any physical indication that they may be ill. Additionally, border services officers (BSOs) apply greater scrutiny and confirm that a traveller’s quarantine plan aligns with information provided via ArriveCAN. BSOs will also ask specific questions to determine whether the traveller will be in contact with vulnerable persons.

Where questions arise, the person is referred to a Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) official on-site at the airport.

The CBSA, along with its partners, continues to monitor the global environment and takes the steps required to keep Canada and Canadians safe.

For questions about quarantine requirements and enforcement, contact PHAC.

But there are many who haven't even filled rtt still got AL.Forget abt quarantine plans.Those who have sent ,I wonder how many of them have shared the mails with the host etc.Ppl have only mentioned that they will book airbnb as soon as they get AL.I am really scared of this mail now as me too have just mentioned this that I will book airbnb..and I have confirmed with the host that its available.

Hello when ur flying from Oman. I also planning to travel next week from Muscat with AL. I m little bit nervous about traveling, because in oman Emigration they are allowed to travel with exp copr +AL. If u hve any idea. Please let me know

Take the AL email, expired COPR. You can show them the Al and that should be OK. I think.

Hey Guys,

I just got letter of Authorization. Did my re-meds on 15th dec. Original visa expired in May/20.
Can someone please confirm if this is it and I can finally travel to Canada and don't have to wait for anything else. GC key updated with new COPR.
Here is part of the mail I received.

You must carry a copy of this letter along with your passport as proof of your authorization to travel to Canada.

As your CoPR and PR visa expired on 2020/05/24, we have extended their validity until 2021/12/24

Yes, My bad. Also, you don't become PR untill you land. your study permit would have become invalid if you have landed once.
Since you have not landed yet, I believe you can use your study permit. Lets wait to gather thoughts of more people to have better idea.

Hi All

i just received this email from cpc-ctd-ottawa

the contents of the email are below



Background:

I had received my COPR before 18 mar 20 and had expired in june 2020. since then have sent them about 4-5 webforms about ' ready to travel'. until now I have only received automated replies ( not even the 4 pts or 7 or 8 or any). I thought I will be patient and wait for them to reply.

my latest web form contained a plan to demonstrate my ability to be able to sustain and my future plans.

in my previous form, I had attached
1) Current bank statement
2) screenshots of availability of flights (Mumbai to Toronto) for the next whole month
3) screenshots of availably of an Airbnb for the entire whole month
4) I had even mentioned that I have an international credit card that would let me order groceries/medications online to my airbnb.

I thought I will proactively share my plans to help my application.

I am honestly worried as to what constitutes a "demonstrate an acceptable plan to quarantine for 14 days in Canada including proof of funds and a plan to show how you will obtain groceries, access medical care and other essential services "


Anyone here who has received an AL and shared a plan that worked, I will be extremely thankful for that. I am extremely worried as it has been so long ( am sure there are many who have been waiting) and there's no end to this.

You will just have to wait now. In the most recent update on January 5, 2020, IRCC is no longer accepting ready to travel webforms.
