Hi everyone, I need urgent help. I am a Canadian citizen and my wife is a US citizen. We have been married over a year. I want to sponsor her but I do not work. I am a full time university student and get government funding for education and living expenses. Will this be a problem. All input and help is greatly appreciated.
PS. This funding does not fall under social assistance

Any guidance/suggestions anyone can share is welcome. I really need help. Thanks

You will need proof of some savings or income. There is no stated amount. But certain you will need some. First qyestion my lawyer asked me was how much we had.

The loan I get also has grants, I get a lump some amount every semester. That is all in my account. Would that work?

No stated amount. But they need proof you can support the spouse. Clothing, food, housing.

In all honesty I dont have the answer. But for sure the sponsor needs to support the spouse.

Anything else I need to know? Is outland a better option? How long does the process take?

Sorry for asking so many questions
