Any advices regarding to my situation?

I rushed to enter Canada to proceed the in-land common law program.
After quarantine, I sent the all the applications and required documents with open work application.
The problem is due to delayed canada post, the parcel delivered almost two weeks later from schedule time.
And my visa was valid when I sent the parcel but it expired when the parcel delivered.

Will they return my package since my visa expired or will they just throw it away?

I applied open work permit as spouse along with common law application. If I apply PGWP now, it will cause any problem since I already applied open work permit (but I dont think it is proceeding now.)
My student visa is already expired so I think I should restore my student status first by paying restoration fee then apply to PGWP. Am I correct?

They will not return your package. They will process your application as long as it's complete. However since it was received when you were already out of status, you will have to wait until AIP before you'll qualify for an OWP.

Yes, you should apply to restore your status since you're currently in Canada without status. Yes, it would make sense to try to get a PGWP issued. I would recommend that you post to the International Students section of the forum for assistance on how to restore your status and also apply for a PGWP. Good luck.

Thank you! Then do I need to update the statua after I got approval for PGWP and how can I update the status to let them know? Or do I have to wait until they reach me to request to update on my status?
