I only sponsored my father so applicant was just one. All correspondence letters were addressed to him only. I am not sure how this is handled if there are dependants. Thanks.

Hey everyone,

My father was asked to provide the photo of a new passport (now it's only nine months to expire). It is a good signal anyway right, seems like the application is moving.

However, in the current situation, the renewal of the passport takes MONTHS. And both of my parents are already in Canada right now. Was anyone in the same boat before? Is taking months to renew the passport the only way?

Thank you very much.

Hi Everyone

We just received the final letter

My Mother application is now decision made

They have asked her to report if there was any change in her status
There was no change in her condition at all

But
We ( Sponsor and spouse) just had our baby girl born last week, do you think we should inform Visa office about that?

Or they only care about the applicant and her accompanying
?

Is my child (sponsor child) needs to be reported ?

Here is what I copied from the letter

STEP 1: Change in Circumstances:
Should any of the following circumstances apply to you or any accompanying family member, you must inform this office immediately:
 Change in marital status, for example due to marriage, divorce, legal separation, annulment or death of spouse;
 Change in family composition, for example due to adoption or birth of a child, including a child born to your accompanying dependent child;
 Death of principal applicant, spouse, accompanying children, or death of sponsoring relative;
 Change in health;
 You or any of your accompanying family members being charged or convicted of a criminal offence;
 Change in contact information: mailing address, e-mail address, or telephone number.

Thanks
Good luck to everyone
You need to inform them. Your mother is not yet a PR until she lands at the airport. This affects your income. Failure to do so is fraud and could have major consequences.

Why would it take months? You can renew it at an embassy very easily.

Hello everyone. hope you all doing well and enjoy the holiday season.

there has been no movement of my application since June this year. wondering anyone else is in the same boat ? my application is with Hong Kong office. I contacted the CIC couple times however they don't have any info on my application as its now with HK visa office, sent emails to HK office inquiry about the status update, no response yet and there seems to be no agents available to address questions over the phone.

there has been 2 doc requests the latest was submitted in June 2020. Medical request was made Dec 2019 and completed in Jan 2020. I received two settlement emails but no decision made...

I along with my wife landed in Canada under the PGP 2019 scheme.We have received PR,Health ,Sin and identity cards. Alberta registry has sent us blue cross cards along with a form to be sent to them. This is 'Seniors Financial Assistance Application' for all Alberta residents of 65 and above. If we sign and avail these facilities being given by Alberta state ,will that be violation of any clause of the agreement signed by our daughter when she sponsored us under PGP-2019. Please remove our confusion. Thanks.

Are your incomes sufficient with the baby? It is very critical. If you are going to report your changes in the number of family members, think ahead about how you will file your tax for the year 2020 as this will have a future impact on your application. Wish you all the best.
